The Xantrex Technologies 813-1760 XPower Plus 1,750-Watt Inverter is a compact and lightweight inverter that easily connects to a 12-volt DC battery and provides up to 1,750 watts of AC power. The XPower 1750 Plus Inverter is ideal for long-haul truckers who need portable power for home appliances, consumer electronics, and office equipment on board their vehicle. It is also suitable for contractors to operate power tools from their van or pickup truck and for recreational users such as RV or automobile owners. Additional product features include an LED bar graph that displays output power, low- and over-voltage protection, and mounting brackets and heavy-duty stud connectors for convenient installation. The XPower 1750 Plus Inverter can power common appliances like a compact microwave oven, a bread maker, a food processor, a small refrigerator, a small vacuum cleaner, fluorescent and incandescent lights, a sewing machine, a fan, a coffee maker, a popcorn maker, and a toaster. I have owned a few inverters and this one is the best. My last one was a 1500 watt Xantrex which didn't have the digital reader that monitors the battery and the output. Uses minimal power when turned on and not being used. Cooling fan only comes on when needed. I am very pleased with this purchase.

This is a huge power converter. Do not consider it unless you plan on running it from 2 auxiliary battery's. The product works flawlessly when hooked up to the right system. The cooling fan is not loud at all. It has a voltage meter and will fault and shut off when the voltage runs to low so you will not be stuck with a dead battery in the middle of no where. Nice product!

This inverter runs a heavy duty inflator (electric motor) with an enormous starting load - the full 3000 watts. I emailed Xantrex for the max time for the 3000 watt (RMS) startup and the reply indicated 1/10 second and it delivers. I have monitored it with an o-scope. The inflator draws about 18 amps after the initial surge then tapers back to about 12 amps. The inverter is rated at 1750 watts for 5 minutes then 1500. I'm very happy with it. My setup is 1/0 cables about 6 feet long bolted to the battery terminals with an Tyco/AMP disconnect and fuse. I run it from a truck with two large starting batteries for 5 to 10 minutes when I'm using it.
