this album is seemless fron xasthur to leviathan. there are two natable songs on this disc that are covers( and damn good ones at that).i do believe the first one is achieve emptieness by katatonia and covered by xasthur(don't quote me but amazon doesn't list all album info so i may have the wrong song)and the second and most notable track is where the winter beats incessant by judas iscariot and covered by leviathan. this is grim cold and raw black metal for only true fans.

First ov all, do not listen to any of the Leviathan and Xasthur haters that have popped up over the past year or so... They are just jealous that their bedroom projects haven't had as much success as these two guys have had. And, ov covrse, one shouldn't worry about this not being kvlt because, as I see it, this music is beyond anything that the US scene has unleashed so far (besides I Shalt Become). This music is not for the so-called elitist black metal wannabes who jump onto the bandwagon of hating any band that has any marginal amount of success... Jealously? But, also, this music isn't for the trendy hipsters who found out about these guys through Sunn o))) (Sunn o))) is a decent band, yeah, but all of you trendy scenesters and hipsters need to DIE). This is cold, misanthropic misery caught on tape! This is isolationist music made by two guys who spend all of their time in complete and utter solitude... where they have perfected their craft. This isn't party music. This music isn't for your usual run of the mill meathead heavy metal fan either. This music wasn't made for you to socialize and feel like you belong in some kind of "special" group... this music was made in order to make you feel like a complete and utter failure! This CD will help you dig your own grave... It will fill your mind with beautiful suicidal thoughts!
