I recently did this to my controller and it worked fine. It's pretty standard. One gripe I had is the seller neglected to mention that a Dremel would be necessary as well as a hot glue gun. For the buttons you are going to have to take a Dremel and hollow them out. Other than that it's pretty standard. I should also note that in the instructions it is specified to use a Phillips Screwdriver to open your controller. That is retarded, this will strip the screws. You need a TORX 8 screwdriver. Also note that there is one screw hidden under the battery pack. The mod looks pretty cool, but for the installation you really need a steady hand. This kit isn't for everyone. It requires a decent amount of precision with a dremel, and a soldering iron.
I think it's safe to assume that half of the people that purchase this mod don't actually use it.

I purchased two sets. Instructions are a link to a website. some LEDs were labeled incorrectly, so when controller was complete the buttons were the wrong colors. 2nd set was used to fix this problem and seller refused to refund the 2nd set. He did offer to send another set but at that point I was uninterested. Make sure you know how to use a soldering iron well.

The product shipped quickly, and as it was advertised. The instructions were a little convoluted at first, but a few minutes of looking closely at the included pictures (nice bonus) along with the text made it an easy project in the end. Would buy again for another controller.

the light mod was really shipped fast like advertised but the only problem was that the light mod is only for the dashboard button..if you dont want to spend any money and dont have the proper tools i wouldnt suggest it for you...

I ordered this on January 6th and it came in on January 10th. Very prompt service and it was exactly what I wanted. I haven't put it together yet but I took a look at the instructions and they seemed fairly easy to follow. The pictures looked a little difficult to follow though, but I should be able to get through them. Also in some of the pictures in the instructions, there are two different colored wires but the package only comes with one. You will definitely need to have some prior knowledge of how to solder and if you're worried about messing up your controller or voiding your warranty, then don't get this. But if you think you can handle it and you want the nice look it comes with, then definitely get it.

I got this for my fiance for Christmas....it took a minute to explain to him what it was, but he likes the idea of being able to have the buttons light up. He went out and bought the soldering gun for it! I can't wait to see it (and neither can he!)
