The Xbox 360 MC2 MicroCon Racing Wheel, April 17, 2011
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Xbox 360 MC2 MicroCon Racing Wheel (Accessory)
I was hesitant to purchase this wheel after reading some of the reviews posted on this site. Due to their nonspecific nature, and referencing of arcade style racing games, I decided to give it a try.
First off, this wheel is small. The picture doesn't offer much scale. The wheel is about 7" in diameter. Although the wheel is constructed primarily out of plastic, it has a sturdy feel to it. Rubber grips are added on the top and the bottom for comfort. The gas pedals are also plastic, but again, are sturdy. The wheel's base can be placed on the lap, or on a table. Suction cups were added on the bottom to keep the wheel in place.
The wheel itself performs very well. It is very responsive, and has a genuine feel to it. The force feedback is weak, but it does work. The gas and break pedals work well too. They are extremely pressure sensitive. Personally, I put small sponges under the pedals for a little more resistance, but either way works.
I would recommend this wheel for anyone that is trying to save some money. It may not offer you a true driving experience like some of the other high end wheels, but it is still a huge upgrade over a controller.

This wheel may be good for some racing games but when I tried using it for Grid I found that it is way too frustrating, every now and then while im turning my car would suddenly go straight or turn in the opposite direction.

Poor settings and very loose turn radius, December 26, 2010

I have found this steering wheel to be quite dissapointing. The simulated motion does not work with Need For Speed on XBox 360. There is no play at all when making sharp turns...you move an inch and your car smashes against the gurad rail even on the widest of turns.
