WATCH OUT!! Here is something you may want to know before putting your money on the table. This controller has a pretty cool look. Since it is a Microsoft original product, I decided to buy it as a 2nd controller for my console. After 1 month of moderated use (I'm no big gamer nor have too much time to play), the silver arrow button BROKE! It cracked right in the center, which is the base of this little and fragile piece that keeps it together with the rest of the unit. Ever since I took it out from the box, at a first glance, I noticed that the material of that silver cruise seemed pretty week to me, even the feeling is not ok, it feels a little loose. When you compare this with the standard black controller that comes with the console, you can notice and feel a big difference, the button is way stronger and made to last. The arrow button in the standard version is 1 piece, while in this COD version you have 2 pieces, when you press the arrow in different directions, all the force of your push is going to the center of the piece. Trust me, if it didn't last for me, it won't for hard gamers out there neither. I'm returning this, Microsoft offered me a replacement standard version, great support I have to say.

I just brought a "brand new" XBox 360 controller from this company. I used the batteries that came with the controller and the controller would die unexpectedly every 20-30 seconds. I've had this controller for not even one day. Complete waste of money.

I mod controllers for clients and my normal supplier ran out so I ordered this one from Amazon.com to hold me over instead of spending a few extra dollars at Walmart to buy one. BIG MISTAKE. When I opened this controller up I almost vomited when I saw it was re-manufactured using the old, old, OLD CG board pieces. It's not like any Microsoft refurbished I've ever seen either which makes me think this is a Chinese knock off using the Microsoft chips which you can buy for around $25 per controller.
Refund!

This particular controller I received uses battery power like none of my other 8 controllers ever has. It goes through a fully recharged battery pack in about 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours of moderate use. I continue to use the controller as I always have fully charged battery packs available. Many times I will take the unit off the recharger, turn on the controller, only to see the ever rotating lights indicating the battery is not charged. It is the weirdest controller I have ever owned. I like the feel of a new controller, but this one is going on the "use only when necessary" pile.

I've learned my lesson buying second hand. This controller shuts off whenever and will not turn back on? I have to pull the battery pack to get it to re-engage again. It never connected to my first receiver so I re-ordered a genuine MS receiver and this controller still won't connect/work properly. All the latest drivers installed...turn on controller, sync, connect, bamm..shuts off. Buttons on it are useless to get it going again so...pull the battery pack? I don't think so. I've learned my lesson.

To begin with, the actual Xbox controller box was already ripped open and taped up again when I received and opened my amazon box (Pics attached) and the controller has smudges on it. After using it for 2 hours the directional buttons do whatever they want and the D-Pad also skips every 2 or 3 presses. BUYER BEWARE! This controller doesn't work!

What has microsoft done with the production of 360 controllers. I bought one and it had sticky buttons and made screeeetch high pitch noises, ordered a replacement. It came, now it makes high pitch screeeetch noises.

Cheap... Almost seems a different company made these.

Eventually, sometimes after a year sometimes after a month, the product's vibrate function causes the controller to shut off. This is not a battery issue. You can plug the controller into the console and the vibration will still cause the product to fail.

I've purchased this three times over the course of five or so years, usually concluding that it was failing due to the fact I am hard on my controllers. It's not the case. The one I bought most recently hardly took a month before failing.

I now use these controllers with the vibration function on my xbox turned off for every game I play.

Also, I believe the manufacturer has changed for this product despite it has been listed and reviewed under the same description for at least 5 years. My latest version's sticks are not as precise as previous the previous versions (which aside from inevitably failing, were fantastically precise). The sticks are sufficient, just noticeably not as wonderful. My friend actually purchased this controller a few months ago as well and mentioned the same thing to me without me saying anything about it to him. His controller, now approximately 6 months old, has not failed (yet).

Never buy anything microsoft. Chrome series is the worst. 9 months my last controller was perfect. Now cant use the right joystick to look to the right. Last 3 before that, LB buttons gone in a week. Garbage controller for the price. Get a logitech or a power A.
