Xbox Video Cable w/Digital Port

I needed a component video cable with optical audio ouput for use with an original Microsoft XBOX, and bought this Psyclone cable. Build quality is excellent for this cable assembly. My only gripe about this assembly is that the component video and analog audio cables are permanently attached to the adapter (I prefer removable cables) and are much longer than I require, but I knew this before purchasing and it doesn't effect the functionality of the unit. VERY recommended if you need a component video cable with optical audio output for an original Microsoft XBOX.

I bought one of these cables about a year ago to use on my new HDTV. As many people will tell you, the difference between component and composite (RCA) is night and day on an HDTV. This cable improves the quality of original Xbox games quite a bit, and playing games like Black (2006, Criterion) comes pretty damn close to a next-generation experience.

When I needed another cable for the Xbox running XBMC out in the family room, I foolishly bought the Monster Cable Xbox Component Video Cable for $25 during my local Circuit City's store closing. I thought the cable would be better than the Psyclone, because I had actually heard of Monster before, plus I didn't want to wait for this cable to arrive in the mail. Big mistake. The Monster cable actually did damage to my receiver, because the plugs were too snug-fitting, and now we have to run component video through the TV. Anyway, after damaging my receiver, the cable promptly fell apart. So I came to Amazon, ordered the Psyclone again, and was greeted with the same quality I got the first time.

These are great cables, and I will now trust Psyclone over Monster any day.

It's also worth mentioning that this cable will NOT work on an Xbox 360, as others have said. The port on the back of the original Xbox is more rectangular, and the Xbox 360 has a somewhat trapezoidal port. The two ports are not in any way compatible. Anyone who tells you this will work with the 360 is misinformed.

Let me start off by saying that I 100% recommend this cable!

I was a bit skeptical about this cable not being able to deliver a high quality 720p signal to my 32" LCD HDTV but i figured 10 bucks was a good gamble.

Well i was right! this cable is the REAL DEAL! i hooked up my modded Xbox (NOT 360) running XBMC to my HDTV with these cables and they rock! The picture is super clear and sharp with zero noise! The cables look and feel real good. You will not be disappointed. If i had to compare these cables to anything i would say the are most like monster cables with out the ridiculous price tag. Its way worth 10 bucks.

I believe ill be buying 2 more sets one for my other xbox (Not 360) and the other for a friend of mine! Get them while they last

These cables deliver! If you are a original Xbox owner you definetly want to have these cables. The cables allow you to have a 480p and 720p picture if your TV and Xbox games supports it. It comes with the Dolby Digital attachment similiar to the Monster cable brand. The biggest difference is the price versus the Monster cables, I would argue that these cables are as good in quality versus the monster cables. If you have a HDTV and still play the Xbox, I would recommend these cables.

I just got a new LCD tv. I mainly use my modded xbox to watch movies. The regular a/v cables just weren't cutting it. So I got these component cables. They work great. Games look fantastic with them. If you have copies of movies on your xbox these cables help out a lot. The movies won't be of hd quality but they do look pretty good.

These are really great cables. They were shipped very fast (3 days) and provide exceptional video quality. My brother has the monster cables, and the Psyclone cables are just as good. The cable is nice and long so you can use it far away from the receiver if you need to. A little warning, theses cables connect to the TV kinda tight. it depends on the TV, I tried these at my friends and they were really really tight, but they're fine on my TV. Don't panic, just be patient and wiggle it in carefully. I don't know why someone said these were for the xbox 360. THESE ARE FOR THE ORIGINAL XBOX!!!

I never owned component cables for anything except the xbox 360 and i use the vga cables for it. When i opened the package I noticed that the cable was very sturdy material. The video quality is great and is probably comparable to the other brands although I don't have experience using the other brands cables. It costs less than monster cable and is the same thing. I just want everyone who reads this to know that it has a regular optical port. Any regular optical cable should be able to fit it.

ignore the other reviews they say it is for the 360 but it is for the xbox 1

No complaints, the cable has digital audio out and component video. The build quality of the cable seems very sturdy, and everything worked great

I have an og XBOX I've installed XBMC on, and this cord allows HD upscaling....looks great on screen, cord is well made, couldn't be more pleased with the way it all worked out.
