I bought this book for my little cousin, who is a uge fan of Xena. When it arrived he insisted on me reading it to him. Being an avid fan myself I agreed, and I think that this book does an incredible job of telling the story of Xena. It does justice to the series and the trilogy that first introduced us to Xena. He loved it and so did I.

I love this book! It takes the three Xena episodes from Hercules and the opening episode from Xena and puts them together to form the magnificent story of how Xena went from ruthless warrior to warrior-heroine. I highly recommend it.

Being a huge Xena fanatic i instantly purchased this book as soon as i came across it and i was not dissapointed. the reading level is that of maybe a 5th-6th grader but it is all thats necessary. it tells the story of the three episode arc from H:TLJ (the warrior princess, the guantlet, unchained heart) and the series pilot of xena (Sins of the Past) and told the story ALMOST perfectly. I had just two pproblems which may seem small but were a huge con and the only reason why i gave 4 stars. In the book it says xenas father was killed in war when we know that xena doesnt find out her father is really dead until season 3 also in the end of Scroll 4 (Sins of the past) xena is visting her fathers burial place when in the show she was visting her brother lyceus' burial place. that kind of annoyed me but otherwise it is a great book with amazing almost comicbook like pictures on every other page decpicting a line from the previous page. overall this is a great book with an incredibly high reread value garunteed!

This is a great little book based on actual episodes of the TV show. It's an easy read for the younger set, but also a fun read for us old time Xena fans. The format is a tiny (about 3X4, but thick) hardcover with lots of good pictures in it.It starts out with the bad Xena trying to kill Hercules then progresses on to where she turns good, meets Gab and they become friends and travel together. Classic stuff!
