My year old Epson Workforce 1100 has pretty colors, prints on "any" size and type of sheet. My loyal and faithful old HP Series II was here before the dawn of time. They both print black and white docs at the speed of a Glacier. Xerox 3320 Phaser got me out of "Greenland," so to speak, and back to my office in North Florida. I was ready to spend a few hundred if necessary. Researched it. Bought it. So far so good. It has met or exceeded my expectations. I have tried many all-in-ones over the decades. Rich with promise, efficient, single footprint, yada, yada, yada, these machines prove time and again to be the proverbial "jack of all trades, master of One" if you're lucky. More often than not, such all-in-one machines are a master of None (of the swiss army knife solutions they claim.) Next on my list is a SINGLE FUNCTION auto doc feed scanner.

This printer has met all my expectations. If is very fast and prints clearly and crisply. Most of all, it is dead-quiet when in the ready-mode (not just when in the power-save mode). This was not the case with the Xerox 3600 model which I returned because it was too loud at idle, in the ready-mode (the 3600 was silent only in the power-save mode, however). When printing, the 3320 is not any louder than I would expect a printer to be. Lastly, the printer is very well built, much better than most of the other brands in its class, which is the primary reason I chose Xerox over the others.

I've read some reviews of bottom-of-the-line Xerox printers where authors suspect those to be clones of cheap Samsung models. This one hopefully is not. Works rather quietly and the warm-up time seems not unreasonable. Though not the cheapest in its class, it was priced competitively on Amazon. I have yet to figure out the true cost of a copy, but hope that it will be comparable with what I had for the old LaserJet 6. Software worked nicely out-of-box for three different OS's, including Linux. There might be issues with Vista (a fails to reconnect with printer over wireless network); in my case unchecking the "Use printer offline" box in Control Panel->Printers->Xerox Phaser 3320->Printer was sufficient to restore the order. I'm taking off the star for not switching automatically to a bypass tray, unlike HP LaserJets, but perhaps I just haven't been able to figure out a proper setting.

I'm no expert so I really rely on other peoples reviews and research a little myself, Some of the internet reviews on this printer were not that great so I was a little bit apprehensive but this has turned out to be a fabulous purchase. The printer is so fast and the print quality is awesome. So, after ditching my ink jet and going with this printer the cost effectiveness it mind boggling! The printer comes with more memory of any comparatively priced printer with still room for more.
The only negative I would have is the setup instructions, if you could even call them that! It was a "picture story" which is kind of silly, no written words. I guess I will give them a pass because I'm a little tech savvy but if Xerox is going to try and target the average consumer they are going to have to improve in this area. That being said I LOVE THIS PRINTER!

This was the first time I did not buy a HP printer, as they now now seem to have a cheap plastic feel to it. This Xerox printer does an execellent job, I have it connected to the network by cable. Absolutely no regrets so far, love the duplex printing.
