Great Performance for the Price!, February 6, 2001
This review is from: Xerox M760 Color InkJet Printer (Office Product)
I've used both Epson and HP's. Epson's high end printers do great photo's but are horrible with text, and HP's text is great but lacks photo quality. This is a great middle of the road printer. The speed is incredible w/4MB of onboard memory it takes the load of your computer. It automatically shuts itself off when not in use, and as soon as you hit Print it comes back online. For the price it easily out does Epson's or HP's in the same price range, Easy to set-up, out of the box ready to go in less than 15 min. Seperate ink tanks, only pay for what you use! Epson's new machines won't let you refill the cartridges or use any other brand but Epson print cartridges in them. Great color reproduction, doesn't soak the peice of paper with ink either. Would totally recommend for anybody, for the price.

Comparison Results - Xerox is the best!, September 23, 2001
This review is from: Xerox M760 Color InkJet Printer (Office Product)
I compared 4 color printers in the $$ range. Cannon, Epson, HP and Xerox. Hands down, the best bang for the buck according to tech spec's is Xerox. From its print quality to the super quite operation the Xerox M760 is the best deal going! At work I have access to a Cannon S600 (aprox. $$$ more than the Xerox M760) color printer and an HP Laserjet. The tech spec's for the S600 state that it prints B/W at 600x600... well... maybe. I have printed the same photo on both the S600 and the M760 using the same photo quality paper and no one that has compared the results can see a difference. My M760 I use at home prints, by far, better B/W than the S600. B/W text is nearly as crisp and clear on the M760 as the HP Laserjet. With photo quality paper and the printer set to best quality, 8"x10" photos print as good as prints from a local photo shop. Buy it, you will be happy with the quality of the prints and the super quite operation.

Regard these stars as minus ones, May 28, 2011
This review is from: Xerox M760 Color InkJet Printer (Office Product)
I was trying to avoid another bad HP product. This one seemed ok for a few weeks, however: 1. It is huge and heavy. 2. It was very difficult to set up. 3. It is very difficult to clean, after a few months there was the inevitable paper jam, and it proved impossible to clean up without disassembly, i.e. you need either a professional or professional tools and probably both. I recommend this product if you want a very large and heavy paper weight.
