Not to disparage the earlier detailed review, I just got this guy and hold a completely contrary opinion. This skeleton is better in every respect to Bone Jack, the white version, and worth the money, in my opinion. On his own, he strikes a more foreboding appearance, black skeleton with red glowing eyes, but the real greatness comes from the flaming parts packaged with him. Not only are they a lovely transparent red plastic, but many of them (the sword, polearm, and wings) have a smokey black paint job near the edges to help make perfectly clear that they are in fact wicked evil. So you wind up with a black skeleton covered in flames, and what I ask is cooler than that? Very little.

My only complaint with him is that some of the parts are a little nonsensical. For example, he has the fire elemental's rocket (but not the launcher) and the thumb pieces (but not the rest of the hands) and the two front pieces of the chest harness, which look great, but he only has the normal skeleton backpack, and the wings don't mount very well on that. Mind you, only the 'extra' pieces are piecemeal like this, he has all of the pieces that the normal skeleton has in addition to them. So you don't have to worry that you won't be able to make a complete figure, but you will wind up with extra pieces that leave you scratching your head about why they're included, because they only fit on the Inferno Fury.

But hey, if you don't have the Inferno Fury yet, you ought to get him! That way you'll have another excellent toy, and the spare parts will actually be useful if you lose any of his parts.

As a side bonus, the weapons that came with the original Bone Jack have been redone in a lovely translucent ghostly purple plastic, they look much better than the originals. They aren't painted at all, and lose a little detail that way, but they look great all the same.

The stickers are in the same boat as the rest of the Xevoz stickers: they look nice but are effectively useless. They won't stick to anything but a nearly flat surface, any curl at all and they'll peel away from the plastic and be useless in just a couple of days. If you really have to add some detail to your figures, you're probably better off with some model paint. Which is a real shame, some of the stickers look like they would be great to have on the figure, but they wouldn't even last a week.

As for the 'game', it's a novel idea, but you won't catch me playing it anytime soon. I'd be entirely happy if Hasbro dumped the game stuff and shaved fifty cents off of the retail price for these things. This figure comes with a fold-out game mat that allows for a more complex game than if you didn't have it, but even with the mat it doesn't look like much fun.

Xevoz are great! This guy is my favorite so far.... he is by far the most customizable at this point! Grim skull looks very similar to skull jack with the base peices - but that's not a bad comment. The hyperfuries bonus parts really make him look like a totally different breed. simply put, I bought a second onethe day after my first one arrived!

5.0 out of 5 stars Xevoz are a mix of action figures and Legos combined, August 3, 2005

My husband and I found some Xevoz on clearance at a toy store. We were impressed by the look of the toys and the customizable possibilities. We were not disappointed when we got a few of the figures home.

These toys are so durable, well made, and collectable. The plastic is high quality, the paint and features are realistic, and there are soooo many different ways to build your own characters.

We weren't interested in the battle game these figures are used for, but it seems easy enough and a novel idea.

All in all, I would definitely recommend these toys to people of all ages. We've already tried collecting the sets from all three releases.
