This USB->KKL Interface is designed for use with VW/Audi/Seat/Skoda cars 1994 - 2004. Later models are CAN-BUS and need the XK2 model. This cable is compatible with all 3rd party applications, like Vag-COM. You can access all systems that the K-Lines can function like ABS, Engine, Transmission, Radio etc. This cable with your laptop and software can do far more than your typical hand held scan tool for these autos. Just to be clear - this unit ONLY works with VAG, ie VW/Audi. If you have any other make you need the XR-7 cable.

The OBD system let me diagnose, reset the error codes, and fix a problem with my Audi's ABS system.

A note on installation -- the software works with Windows computers with a USB port. You need to install the VAGCOM software provided, AND you need to have the mini-CD that comes with the OBD system available when you plug it into the computer. Windows will install a driver for the USB cable from the mini-CD. After that, you'll need to experiment with the settings in VAGCOM. For my system, I got it to communicate by setting VAGCOM to communicate on the COM4 port.

Laptop communicates with cable, does not communicate with car (2002 Audi Allroad). Went to XiTech's site, they don't support the XK1 anymore.

Software provided will not work with this cable, drivers allow computer to recognize cable, but still will not communicate with car. Tried at least a dozen VAGCOM and OBD II programs with no results.
