I can breathe again,
By
This review is from: Xlear Nasal Wash 1.50 Ounces (Health and Beauty)
A few years ago I found my nose was so dry and my sinus passages so swollen that I couldn't breathe through my nose. Anxiety ridden, I began seeing an allergist. It turned out I have something called vasomotor rhinitis, a severe sensitivity to dry air. I live in Denver, so I was in deep trouble. I was on three drugs that I took daily to help me breathe, one a prescription drug. The prescription drug made my nose bleed, so the doctor told me to get a saline wash for my nose. I was in Whole Foods one day and just picked up Xlear off the shelf. If I had noticed the price, I would have put it back. Fortunately for me I didn't. The stuff has been a miracle. I got off all the drugs and now just use Xlear and I can breathe. I started using it six times a day because my nose was in bad shape, but feeling better and better I lowered the doses and now only use it twice a day. In the morning I rinse out my nose with Neil Med, and use this product in the afternoon and before I go to bed. From the moment I spray it in my nose I can feel my nasal passages begin to feel cool and the swelling go down. I am being totally serious when I say this product saved my sanity. It works better then the prescription drugs and I sleep though the night. The company has changed the level of volume of spray that a single pump produces since I first starting using it and does not release as high a volume of spray as the old non-spring loaded pump released. So I use three pumps of the spray, rather then the two recommended on the directions. I researched the key ingredient, a sugar compound from tree bark, and it is virtually harmless. It is the sweetener in trident gum. Three sprays instead of two is not the least bit harmful. I have been using it for over three years now and am still breathing fine. I stopped seeing my allergist. She informed me she was going to tell other patients she had of my experience with this product. I tried to tell National Jewish Hospital here in Denver to conduct studies on it. They have the top allergy clinic in the country. But they just blew me off. Apparently if you are not a major drug corporation you can't possibly have a serious product. If you are having trouble breathing, try this product. It's not dangerous, so what have you got to lose?

I've had problems with chronic sinus infections for the past two years. They just kept coming back.
I felt one coming on and I decided to try this spray instead of going to the doctor again! And it worked.... I caught it just in time and it released all the junk that stuck in my sinuses. The pressure and pain was released! We're coming up on winter and I have high hopes to be sinus infection free.

I purchased this product because of the reviews but was skeptical. For the past several weeks I have been uncomfortable with a recurring sinus infection. Flonase helps but is very drying. Plus, I prefer not to get hooked on Rx nasal sprays. After using Xlear for three days I am thrilled. Breathing out of my nose is easier, post nasal drip is almost gone. I plan to use this product several times a day all winter to try to stay well. Highly recommended.

Xlear Nasal Wash,
By Sherri "halito68" (Montana) - See all my reviews So, I thought I'd give Xlear a try. I've only been using it a few days but I do believe it is working. I've been taking it four times a day as recommended for the first month. My nose tends to get really stuffy at night. Recently I was using Flonase and a 12 hour spray at night just to get relief. Last night I used only the Xlear and I was able to breathe clearly through the whole night.

Going on a trip? Taking a plane? I recommend that you use XLEAR Nasal Spray to help ward off those pesky germs that are traveling with everybody else who are on the plane with you. It works for me. I use this product on a daily basis to keep my nasal passages clear and clean, but double up on the dosage (twice a day) at least a week before my plane trip. I don't come home after a vacation or business trip with a cold or the flu. XLEAR also helps fight off spring and fall allergies by keeping the nasal passages clean, preventing pollen from accumulating.

This works better than saline sprays or gels. It keeps the nasal mucosa soft and makes breathing easier when nasal congestion is troubling.

For someone who suffers from chronic sinusitis, this product is a veritable godsend! Being a homeopathic product that works, is in itself, unusual to say the least. I gladly give up the terrible coughing from phloem drainage, let alone the clear and unobstructed breathing, make this product well worth the price. This product works; is anything else important?

It's hard to argue with the results. I was skeptical at first, since every other nasal spray I've tried has left my nose burning, swollen, or worse, and usually without relieving the sneezing or runny nose. But this stuff is great. Stuffy nose: it clears. Burning, itching allergy attack: it soothes. Runny nose: well, it'll make it a lot runnier for a second, but slows the flow after that.
I think its lack of medicinal action is what makes it feel so gentle. It's less like a medicine and more like a gentle wash, loosening up the gunk and rinsing everything out, leaving nice, soft, clear sinuses. If you can imagine clearing away a layer of slime to give the natural processes a chance to recover and function again, that's what it feels like to use this product. The first time I tried it there was some slight burning after all the gunk came out, just from the membranes being exposed to air for the first time in what felt like days. But another couple shots actually soothed that, too. Spraying things up my nose is one of my least favorite things to do, so I don't rush to this stuff. But when I give in, I pretty much always feel better within minutes.
