5.0 out of 5 stars Xscape camping chair
This chair is great! We bought 2 for camping. They are comfortable to the point of not wanting to get out of them. They are a bit heavier than a regular folding camp chair in a bag.

1.0 out of 5 stars Looks good but its junk, August 22, 2009

This review is from: Xscape Designs® Sportline FR™ XL Folding Chair w/ Footrest (Misc.)
Pros:

It looks very nice.

Cons:

Its a piece of junk, my left arm rest broke away after taking it out of the bag on the second time

It sits you more upright than others (for me this is a negative)

Its heavier than most

The XL is about 30% smaller than most of the competition

Its also cost 2-3 times as much as a chair without the footrest

The foot rest simply is awkward and makes the chair a little unsteady. You can adjust the footrest so its higher but then your feet hang off the end and the weight of your legs will eventually push the footrest back down so its about 6-8 inches off the ground and then its not a great footrest.

The bag that the chair comes with is thin, cheap and not as good as the competition.

I bought this because I wanted a premium chair with a footrest. That is not what showed up, it only had a premium price. I would recommend a Coleman for a fraction of the price and any cheap footrest that would fold up and stick in the same bag as the Coleman.

Excellent chair and price. Super customer service. This chair is very comfortable and is high enough to make it easy to get out of. I would recommend this chair to anyone.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not the best, August 20, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I am not to sure why I bought two of these. I guess I thought they would be better than some of the local ones I was looking at.

In my opinion they are not the greatest.

The rivet snapped the first day I used one of them. Chair is still usable, but pretty cheap.

Over priced.

For me, the foot rest is a novelty.

4.0 out of 5 stars Dorm Room Option, February 26, 2009
By
This review is from: Xscape Designs® Sportline FR™ XL Folding Chair w/ Footrest (Misc.)
I wanted a chair I could fold up but also be comfortable in for a dorm room situation and this one fit the bill (especially with the footstool.) It looks good and really is pretty comfortable for what it is. Also, should be great during camping season. However, I have a coleman chair (less footstool and decent looks) that ran for $30 and it has a little better build quality. Room for improvement at this price point.

1.0 out of 5 stars Quick to break..., August 14, 2010
This review is from: Xscape Designs® Sportline FR™ XL Folding Chair w/ Footrest (Misc.)
I ordered two of these for a cross-country camping trip, and have been completely dissatisfied with the product. First, they came in a box that looked like it'd been saved from a dumpster, but they arrived in good condition. However, in the first time I sat down, one of the plastic adjusters immediately snapped. It was still functional as a chair and footrest, however, so I let it go. Over about a dozen evening uses by two adults, however, the remaining three all broke. In addition, 3 out of 4 handles tore out of their bolts, and one of the straps finally broke. This is unacceptable for a chair used no more than a dozen times under easy circumstances. Other tears occurred under normal use. I tried to contact the company before writing a scathing review of their product online, but their website is unnavigable and I cannot locate a number or e-mail. Don't buy it.

I bought this chair as a gift for my dad who is 6'1" and the chair is no where near long enough with the footstool for him. The photo of the chair looks like it has cushion so I was disappointed to find that it is just like any other nylon chair. Also, the width of the chair is not wide enough at the end of the arms, by the thigh area, and I am only 5"5' and 125 pounds. Overall, I was disappointed.

3.0 out of 5 stars chanko, October 1, 2010

wish I could give this a better review -- it looks so great - but the fastener for the leg rest has already pulled out and was deformed as a result now it pops out regularly. It sits very upright -- no recline -- so for a chair that has foot rests it puts you at a slightly less than comfortable 90 degree bend -- but the fastener popping out was what bugs me - only sat in it 8-10 times

3.0 out of 5 stars Good for the Low Price, September 13, 2009
This review is from: Xscape Designs® Sportline FR™ XL Folding Chair w/ Footrest (Misc.)
Comfy chair for the price, but one of the leg supports was basically broken from the get-go. Still worked okay and is a basically comfy chair. If you don't want to spend a ton and want a chair with leg supports, it's a good buy, but if you want a good quality chair that will last, just spend more. I'm guessing that kind of chair costs in the $80-$100 range...

1.0 out of 5 stars Very poor quality, June 19, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Xscape Designs® Sportline FR™ XL Folding Chair w/ Footrest (Misc.)
The stitching on the right armrest came apart within 5 minutes of setting it up and as I went to put it back into the carry case, the zipper is so cheap that it pulled right off the bag as I went to zip it up. I saw the other reviews and decided to give them a try anyway. Don't make the same mistake. They look great, but they're some of the worst products I've ever bought. Already returning for a refund.
