I bought this through Amazon.com because I could not find it at ANY of the local dealers that the manufacturer's site said carried it. I would say a few things about it:
1. It's much heavier than I expected 2. You CAN pinch your fingers when you're closing it, contrary to the mechanism that "guarantees" you can't. Be careful. 3. It's a hair flimsy, but supports my 190 lbs. happily. 4. The bottom seems like it could have been made with a little softer material, so that it would grip the ground even better. I was pretty nervous using it on a hardwood floor. 5. It's a fantastic product and I have already recommended it several times. It was the envy of my coworkers when it showed up at my office! 6. I think it's a bit cheap that the carrying case is not included. Now I will spend the rest of my days climbing up and down things in and around my house!

I have the 15.5 ft, heavy duty model. This ladder started out great. Within 8-10 uses it did not open and close very well. The ladder would not lock properly without effort to make sure each pin was properly seated. My real problem came after about 20 uses when one of the locking mechanisms came apart. The leg will no longer lock at all. The company does not offer a replacement for this part (even though it is easily removed), therefore I am stuck with an almost new ladder that I can't use. I think it would make a good ladder for a homeowner who will not use it often and can be very careful with it. Even though I was extremely careful transporting it I believe that is how it was damaged. I think the locking mechanism was hit during transportation. The design of the thumb lever can be hit easily. The ladder is not designed well enough for medium duty use, only light use.

This ladder does just what it is supposed to. But watch those hands when closing up the ladder! Some Home Depot stores sell it for less. Shoppers should be aware that the first ladder like this, the Telesteps, was and is still being made in Sweden. But most "Telesteps" being marketed in the US are not; they are sourced from China, just like the Xtend.

These ladders are absolutely wonderful. A 12 ladder that can easily fit in the trunk of any car (even my SI hatchback). What I love most about this ladder is that you can take it in places bigger ladders can not go, and then extend it to get where you need to be. This ladder paid for itself on it's first use!

I received the 15-1/2 foot ladder for Christmas as a gift. Ladders are a very important factor in our business, so when I received this as a gift I was very happy. Now that I have owned the telescoping ladder for awhile I can place a honest review. The Class 1A ladder is very heavy duty & can support my 240 lbs with no problem, the weight of this model goes along with it's class. It is kept in my truck daily & not any problem with storage. It's closed position is easy to lay anywhere out of the way. I recommend the ladder to everyone. The only thing I will note is, keep it clean. The telescoping feature works best if the tubes are kept clean. The only poor factor is the buttons get hard to press when closing the ladder over time. I silicone spray the telescoping tubes to ensure they stay in good condition. If your looking to keep a ladder stored in a tight area such as an RV, back of a truck, an apartment, garage, or basically anywhere I am sure you will be happy with this product.

The ladder is well made and super convenient because of its size. It does takes a bit to get use to the flex when the ladder is fully extended. Also, one has to watch the fingers when collapsing the ladder. At least if you go in the right sequence, the rung closes to your hands don't collapse all the way.

Well, it is definitely not as durable as my 14'6" Xtend and Climb, but it is lighter @ only 19 pounds. I have been getting on roofs 5 times a day, so it gets opened and closed over 35 times a week. Feels ok...I just think once dirt starts getting to it, it will not perform as well as it has when new. It just doesn't have that strong feel like my other one. But otherwise is great. It travels well and it performs well.

I love this ladder for home Inspection work. It's light and maneuverable enough to bring into the house, and easily get in the attic access hatch. It's also sturdy enough to climb to the roof from the outside for a proper examination of the roof. I wish I would have purchased the 15 ft tall one, for certain roof access, but I do have a gorilla ladder for higher access outside. This ladder is probably not appropriate for contracting, as bringing sheet goods or other heavy objects may be too much, or may snag on the lock buttons, but for light & quick access - AWESOME!! Amazon was the cheapest price BY FAR that I found too. Don't hesitate.

I've used mine in my solar site assessment business for 4 years now, and it's still my favorite ladder.
I love how it stores in the compartment under the trunk of my Prius, so I can just keep it there, and it's hidden but always there when I need it. It reaches the roof of just about any ranch style home, and can also be useful for accessing attic hatches. I did have to get a longer ladder to reach split-level and 1.5-story roofs. Since I have small hands/fingers, I like the thumb slides on this model much better than on my 785P, because I can put the force of my whole hand/arm against them without killing my thumb. It occasionally needs some WD-40 to keep the telescoping parts sliding smoothly, but as long as I do that maybe once a year, it works great.

This ladder works well and stores in a small space compared to a regular extension ladder. Just watch your fingers in lowering it.
