5.0 out of 5 stars Easy and durable, June 29, 2010
This review is from: Xterra Dual Rider Bike Trailer (Misc.)
I picked up this bike trailer after returning a Schwinn. This bike trailer assembles easily and quickly right out of the box. Attaching it to your bike is a breeze. I wanted a trailer that was easy to switch between bikes and this trailer can be switched in less than a minute without requiring any tools. My husband and I both have Cannondale mountain bikes and we didn't have any problems attaching it to our bikes. I love the heavy duty canvas material that covers the trailer. It is much more durable than the other materials used in the Insteps, Schwinns and even Burley. The trailer comfortably seats two children up to 100 lbs total. It has both the waist straps and shoulder harness for your little one's safety. Converting to the trailer into the jogging stroller is equally as easy involves removing a pin and folding the trailer arm underneath, securing it with straps and snapping on the front tire. In addition to the zippered screen to keep the bugs out, it also has a clear rain cover that zippers on the front window to keep the kids dry. Behind the seat in a separate compartment, there is a very roomy storage area that is secured to bring along anything you might need. The trailer folds down and stores away nicely but honestly, we have just kept it out and put together because we have been using it everyday since I brought it home. My child loves this trailer. I love it because of its ease of use, quality, lightweight aluminum frame makes it easy to tow and it is safe and sturdy. After doing tons of research and even buying and returning another trailer, I am so glad that I have found this trailer. Its exactly what we wanted and so far worth every penny. FYI: The box also says its safe to tow your pets in too :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding...Just saved $400, March 8, 2011
This review is from: Xterra Dual Rider Bike Trailer (Misc.)
I'm going to keep the short. We have been preparing to purchase a Burley Solo. We wanted a great quality trailer for our toddler and wanted something that is light and narrow. We actually ordered a Burley Solo (Back-ordered for one week two days ago). Anyhow, I stumbled across the Xterra 2-in-1 Convertible Bike Trailer for $139 at my local Costco today (3/8/2011) and decided to give it a shot. It is slightly different from the trailer pictured here as it doesn't have the side rails covering the wheels. Also THREE BIG CHANGES 1.) they have changed to hitch to be very similar to the Burley hitch now. No concern of it falling anymore. 2.) they have changed the stroller wheel to be much more substantial and there is no veering concern any longer and 3.) they have installed rear shocks for a smooth ride. There is also more leg room than the Burley Solo. Last, it is only 3/4 of an inch wider that the Burley Solo and 4 inches narrower than the D'Lite (This will help with wind drag). I will be canceling my back-ordered Burley Solo...Hmmm...what to buy now?
