Large capacity for cheap, but it smells bad.,

This review is from: Xtreme TB320DKO 320-Disc CD/DVD Case (Electronics)
Pros: This case holds a lot of CDs for a great price. The outer material is substantial and protects the CDs/DVDs well. The inner CD holders are sufficient, but flimsy compared to other cases I've had such as those from Case Logic.
Cons: The most serious flaw of this case is, unexpectedly, the smell. The plastic reeks like an organic chemistry laboratory. Even after a week out of its original packaging, the case gave the room an unpleasant odor. I shudder to think about the smell / working conditions of the factory in which these cases are made.

Just got my case today. Looks like it's sturdy and well-built. CDs/DVDs fit nicely in the lined sleeves. Only problem is there are only 32 sheets of 8 sleeves. Therefore, the capacity of this case is only 256, not 320 as advertized. Still a very good value for what I paid.

I had to return this product. I was attracted to the price initially and received the order. But I decided to return the item as the quality is very poor. CD sleeves are good but the external casing, the zip are totally of low quality. Don't go for these as they are low priced. Go for caselogic and you won't be disappointed.

Case ****, Rebate **,

This review is from: Xtreme TB320DKO 320-Disc CD/DVD Case (Electronics)
This is a great price on a decent case (I paid $10, and I see that the price has recently come down to $8). In contrast with some other reviewers, I really received a 320-pocket case. I like being able to see 8 disks at once. This really helps me organize. Previously I used individual 20-CD cases, but since I could only see 2 CDs at a time it was hard to tell what was in each case. The cases also ended up spread around the house. I am happy to have all my CDs and DVDs in one hard-to-lose case now. I will save a few of my old 20-CD cases for travelling and give the rest away.
Considering the long shipping delay combined with Amazon's moronic policy of printing the order date on its invoices instead of the ship date, I was initially worried about the 30-day deadline to submit the rebate. I purchased May 4, Amazon shipped May 26, and I was quite relieved when I submitted my rebate June 1, two days before the deadline. Then I got a postcard from Tech B telling me that my rebate was denied because of an invalid postmark date. I called Tech B and the phone rep said their records showed a June 1 postmark and an April order date. I started to tell him that my invoice said May 4, but he interrupted to say that he was marking the rebate as valid. I believe him. I will try to follow up in a few months to indicate whether I really received the rebate. I had to call the phone tree a few times before I figured out how to get through so I'm including detailed instructions, in case you need to call about your rebate. 1. Dial 888-295-7718 2. Press 3 to indicate you received a postcard 3. Press 1 to access your submission information 4. Press 2 to indicate that you submitted more than 6 weeks ago (even if that's not true) 5. Press 1 to confirm your phone number 6. Press 6 to reach a representative Good luck

zipper sucks,

This review is from: Xtreme TB320DKO 320-Disc CD/DVD Case (Electronics)
The zipper broke on mine after about a month. You would also think that if they are going to make a dvd case that holds 320 discs that they would make it strong enough for the inside part to not fall out. It is two pieces that fit together as one--the cover and the pages/sleeves. The piece that holds the dvd's has slips that slide into the front and rear covers of the outer case. Once you get the thing full of dvd's, if you pick it up without being zipped up, the whole inside part will fall out. This really sucks for me because my zipper broke.

I bought it with the $20 MIR costing me only $4.99 but the product is not worth a single penny.
I did not like the quality of this case since the day I got it from Amazon. I always thought that the zip will broke at some point and it did happen in 2 months. It was opened/closed only 10 times duirng last 2 months. I am still trying to find the manufacturer details from Amazon so that I can contact and get it repiared or replaced.

Poor quality shows you get what you pay for....,
This review is from: Xtreme TB320DKO 320-Disc CD/DVD Case (Electronics)
While I bought this item because of the capacity of CDs it was advertised to hold, I quickly realized it is not durable enough to handle a full load. The zipper immediately broke upon first use, and the CD sleaves pulled out of the outer cover due to their weight. Despite its advertised capacity, this product should not be counted on to hold this many CDs and perform as expected.

Please don't expect to get the cash back from this purchase as promised! To date, I've been denied twice. The second time they said the U P C number was invalid. Only, it's the original U P C barcode! I was meticulous filing the paperwork, yet they state, "All required products were not submitted." Meanwhile, I have phoned AMAZ0N to lodge a formal complaint. The product itself is average. I've used better and worse. That said, it's definitely not worth the full asking price.

Broke almost instantly,
This review is from: Xtreme TB320DKO 320-Disc CD/DVD Case (Electronics)
I put all of my CD's in it (about 260) and the zipper broke the first time I tried to zip it up...to say the least, that wasn't advertised...

Cheap case, zipper broke, what's the point?,

I've had this case for a few months now. One day the zipper began working improperly, and suddenly broke off. What's the point of having a briefcase-like cd holder when all the cds can easily fall out now?
