4.0 out of 5 stars Tough, but doesn't completely protect the contents
This case doesn't get the full 5 stars because while the heavy rubber exterior is certainly tough, the whole case can bend. There's no rigidity to the exterior, which could lead to CDs/DVDs breaking if it were stepped on or otherwise impacted.

However, there is a pocket in the inside front and back cover, which you could insert some tough card/plastic for...

1.0 out of 5 stars Broken zipper within weeks!
We bought the Xtreme 320 holder. The zipper broke within weeks! This means you can't carry or store the thing unless it's flat. So, basically the money we spent on it is in the toilet. Guess you get what you pay for. We'll be buying a quality case now.

This case doesn't get the full 5 stars because while the heavy rubber exterior is certainly tough, the whole case can bend. There's no rigidity to the exterior, which could lead to CDs/DVDs breaking if it were stepped on or otherwise impacted.

However, there is a pocket in the inside front and back cover, which you could insert some tough card/plastic for extra protection.

The tag attached to the zipper feels a little flimsy, but that's a minor issue. If you're carrying the case around a lot, be aware that the handle is hard rubber, not soft or fabric, so your hands may get sore/tired quickly.

I can still recommend this; it gets the job done. The smell mentioned in other reviews is there, but not overwhelming.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good bargain!!, October 31, 2005

does not need explanations. if you are looking for a cheap storage for your ARCHIVAL CD's(the ones that get inside the closet and get forgotten), think no further. this is a good bargain. but if you need a Quick-access folder for everyday use, this probably wont last more than a couple of months.

2.0 out of 5 stars Poor sleeve quality, and smells awful, April 18, 2005
This review is from: Xtreme TBCDW128 128-Disc CD/DVD Case (Electronics)
Keep your nose a good 3 feet from this case. The vinyl material is a stinker. The sleeves do not look nor feel very durable and are not uniform in quality. For under $10 shipped, it may be a good buy if you seek extra storage.

I got this product for $6.00. I thought it's a great bargain. After using for 2 weeks, the zipper broke and I can't carry around... so frustrate. I give to my trash can for free.

1.0 out of 5 stars Company Never sent the Cashback..., May 15, 2006
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Xtreme TBCDW128 128-Disc CD/DVD Case (Electronics)

Please don't expect to get the cash back from this purchase as promised! To date, I've been denied twice. The second time they said the U P C number was invalid. Only, it's the original U P C barcode! I was meticulous filing the paperwork, yet they state, "All required products were not submitted." Meanwhile, I have phoned AMAZ0N to lodge a formal complaint.

The product itself is average. I've used better and worse. That said, it's definitely not worth the full asking price.

This carrying case is pretty big for a 128 CD capacity! But it does its job! Dont take it too close to your nose...some people may not like the way its material smells!

5.0 out of 5 stars Not bad... for a couple bucks, August 4, 2006
This review is from: Xtreme TBCDW128 128-Disc CD/DVD Case (Electronics)
This is a pretty decent cheapo case. If you want something that you'll use every day in the car or at your DJ gigs, then you may want to get something a little sturdier. For my [archival] purposes, however, it works just fine.

This is a good value case for the money spent. I read complaints of it self-destructing one way or another. I don't see how, unless you're using it as a tennis racket or something... The zipper is a little difficult to get started when all the weight of discs is stressing the case. So a little common sense would be well to use at this point. Don't yank the zipper pull like a tree root! press the sides of the case to normal width, and help the zipper along for a couple of inches. It will finish easily after that.

I'm happy with it, and if I need another, I would buy the same model. Good price, and made well.
