great for running in the rain...,

... but not a downpour. The case isn't waterproof, but it is highly water resistant. The width of the case is suspect, however. It's like they used Mr. Universe as a model. I've got big fat upper arms and my arm is still too tiny for the giant width of this arm band. The controls are not accessible (although they are visible) when sealed up in the clear plastic compartment, meaning you have to fiddle your fingers through a couple of layers and fumble to change volume or songs while running/jogging.

Great Product But....,

I primarily run outside and this is a great product for that. It stays on my arm and I have no problem accessing the wheel. There are 2 flaws, it is weather resistant but not waterproof. I never use it in anything harder than a light rain and the case is very snug so the stitching gets stressed. I've had mine for 4 months and I use it 4-5x/week and the stitching has started to give in one spot. I have restitched it, but I would've expected it to last longer.

I have only gotten the chance to use the armband a few times, however, I have noticed no serious problems. Depending on how much you perspire, may be a cause for concern. The armband seems to retain quite a bit of moisture, but doesn't seem to pose a threat to the ipod.

Works fine so far, but it's a bit tough to manuever the Mini in and out of the case [tight squeeze]. My arms aren't skinny by any means, but the armband is still a bit big and loosens up while running. Lastly, if you perspire, the material can get pretty damp.

Great Arm Band,

I use this when working around the house, in the yard and at the gym. Stays in place very well and gives easy access to the control wheel of my IPOD. Has stood up to more than a year of heavy use and is still doing well for me.

Fits a Garmin Edge (GPS),
By
This review is from: XtremeMac SportWrap iPod Mini Armband (Black) (Electronics)
I've got a Garmin Edge (GPS) which is really intended for bikes and only comes with bike mounts. While Garmin makes a ForeRunner series (designed for joggers) which looks identical and designed to be worn, the mounts are not compatible (I wrote to Garmin & they verified it wont work). I wanted to be able to 'wear' my Edge. I geo-tag photos, which means I need a wearable GPS to track where I am when I shoot a photo (the time-stamps from the GPS track are matched to the time-stamps on the photos and that's how the software figures out where I was when a photo was taken.) I had done some searching for something that would let me 'wear' my Edge and wasn't having much luck.I have an old iPod Mini and it occurred to me that the Edge computer is just about the same size... not exact, but pretty close. The fact that the compartment is made out of neoprene, which is stretchy, means it should be forgiving enough to account for the minor differences. Turns out it's perfect! When I put the Edge inside this armband, it looks like it was made for it!

The armband was just what I was looking for. I've used it several times now and it is perfect. I received it in record time and it was at a really great price. Not too big and it is difficult to find accessories for the mini these days.

Wow, i probably purchased this about 5 years ago and I still use it to this day! The velcro is still good, still holds tight to my arm. I have to say a quality item. If you're looking for something to go running and working out in look no further. One thing I did not like about the armband is when you are lifting weights, it does get in the way.

This product is adequate, but I had hoped for more. It is difficult to get my ipod in and out of the holder. It does allow for song selection while still in the holder, but it is difficult to charge my ipod while still in the holder. It does stay in place while I am working out. As I said it get the job done. I just wished it would have came in pink.

Wonderful product, stays in place, securely holds your mini in a tight compartment. The only criticisms I have are that you have to adjust your volume before you place the ipod into the plastic/neoprene compartment and you have to remove it, in order to activate the hold mode so as to save battery power. To me those are things I can overcome. That fact that my ipod won't get damaged, that there is a place to put excess cord and that it stays in place on my arm were the selling points in comparison to other products that I viewed. I would highly recommend this product especially to those who still rock the mini ipod like I do!
