This is my second pair of these cutters. Xuron makes good quality tools for the price. My first pair was used years for modeling until they had a run in with hardened wire in an imported floral arrangement. (keep your tools away from your spouse) These are designed for precision cutting in plastic, wood, or soft metals. They will cut jewelry wire, model parts from plastic or brass sprues, and similar materials. They cut flush and leave a nice clean edge and should give years of service with normal use. The handle is comfortable.

Don't expect them to cut hardened wire, piano wire, etc. There are other tools for that. I don't think you will find a better hobby flush cutter for this price.

These Xuron 410 Micro-Shears are the best I've owned. Comfortable to handle and able to cut wire close to the beads, with a clean finish! Highly Recommended

I purchased these to cut soft .020 wire and needed them to cut near the end of the pliers, unfortunately due to the design that the one blade goes under the other they do not cut very well the last 25% of where the blades come together.

If you can cut in or near the center they work very well, but for the work I do the tip is needed to cut.

They are an excellent well made tool, unfortunately they do not work for MY intended application. I intentionally put the review at three stars so this review would be featured in the event someone else might benefit from this info.

The Xuron LX Micro Shear Flush Cutter will produce a nice cut much closer to the end and work on most of the applications I has in mind for the 410 I purchased.

If you can cut near the center or farther back you will love 410, if you have clearance issues use the LX or 2175 pliers.

I ruined my Xuron 410 shears and bought a different, very expensive brand of shears. I was so disappointed. I was very glad I found another pair online and immediately purchased them. I won't use any other brand of shears for my jewelry making.

These are the best cutters that I've ever used. Great for small wires, easy to get into small areas and cut closely to your work. Great value! Works well on 18g wire and smaller. Another outstanding tool by Xuron!

I purchased these shears to replace the shears that Games Workshop sells with their brand name on them.

I came away astonished at the improvement in quality of these shears over the Games Workshop brand I was using.

Extremely sharp, these shears are also made of a high carbon steel, and are thinner than the Games Workshop brande and make a very clean cut on the flat side and the thinner blades create less warping on the side opposite the cut.

Highly recommended for plastic models

I'm on my second pair of these. After the first walked away from my desk, I just went ahead and bought two this time. These cut very clean and easily and are high-quality for the price. I use them mainly for trimming wire and electronics leads and they're wonderful. The flat side creates a flush, clean cut and the other end doesn't go flying through the air. They also excel at cutting flat surfaces with minimal effort. It's silly, but I'll cut away bits of ground shielding or plastic/paper with these as well.

Biggest issue is that they will not cut hardened wire or cable without some damage. So steel cable or ground sheath is a no-go. Just be aware of that when you purchase these. Otherwise, I use them all the time for everything. Get something different for the hard steel stuff.

Works great for Gundam kits, it seems very similar if not exact same as my tamiya cutter, but for much cheaper price. Cuts are easy to get right but there is some grease between spring so try not to touch that area.
