This video demonstrates the Xyron 505 in action (505 uses the same cartridge as this one). Also called the Creative Station, this machine is, in my opinion, the fastest way to create stickers or attach lamination to paper no wider than five inches. The cost of the cartridges makes it expensive for everyday use, but if anyone was making large quantities of items, such as wedding invitations, this would be the way to go. Also, I want to add that Xyron's customer service is excellent. They replaced a machine that wasn't working properly -- even though I may have damaged it by forcing the cartridge in too strongly.

Why didn't I get one of these gizmos sooner?!? I've been scrapbooking for years and have spent a lot of time trying to carefully glue things so that they will stick in my books. This lovely machine has made my life a whole lot easier!!

I was excited to add this to my craft stock for cards, stickers, etc. I bought it on sale, and couldn't resist it. It works great on paper--I've created little stickers, and even re-stickied a sticker that was put on a little note from when I was in Kindergarten (I'm a memento whore).

Even though it says it works on fabric--I had some trouble with that. I wanted to cover a coffee tin with fabric and keep my son's crayons in there. The fabric went through the machine just fine, but peeling it off was difficult, and I didn't think it was sticky enough. It stayed on the tin, but maybe someday there will be some special fabric cartridge for this purpose?

I would highly recommend this for paper crafts!

The Xyron is a must have for scrapbookers with a die-cut machine such as the cricut. For delicate cut outs, this makes adhearing a snap. It's quite expensive for everyday use, such as for larger cut outs, I still use regular mounting squares. But for small pieces or intricate designs, it's nice to have.

Only complaint would be that glue sticks in between the cut out if its very detailed. Then you have to rub it off which is inconvenient.

Very disappointed in this product. The original cartridge didn't even last 1/2 way before jamming and needing replaced. After at least 1/2 hour of making a terrible mess with the old, we put the refill in, following the easy replacement method. Not nearly as much was wasted on the refill, but enough to be terribly frustrating! Please consider pricing this product and refill to account for the considerable waste encountered!

I bought this as a gift for someone, hoping it wasn't just a pointless toy (which it looks like).

Without reading the instructions or doing anything but looking to see which way to turn the knob, we stuck a business card in it and it came out a sticker complete with removable backing!

It puts the glue right up to edges of your item so it sticks flat and there's absolutely no hassle.

Make sure you don't waste any of it, so put things in lengthwise or glue smaller things side by side at the same time. you can stick things in up to about 1/8 inch so thick, that's pretty thick (about as thick as 25 sheets of paper).

I am still amazed that something so simple and cheap can work so well. I was fully prepared to be disappointed!

Highly Recommend for whatever your purpose.
