Atahualpa Yupanqui, April 20, 2001
This review is from: Y Su Guitarra (Audio CD)
One problem with all these compilations of perennial artists like Atahualpa Yupanqui is that they include several songs already available in other collections. This one is no exception. So you collect, say, three compilation CD's by Don Ata and end up with only 5-6 new songs per CD. HOWEVER, this compilation -if you don't already own "30 Ans of Chansons" (also available in Amazon)- is for you. You will understand why Don Ata became the most fundamental Argentine folk songwriter. As myself, many Latin Americans learned to deeply respect Don Ata's legacy and keep enjoying his poetic guitar and lyrics.

Soft and sensual, December 19, 1999

Extremely versatile. Cook to the music, bathe, sleep, read, dance....it's soft enough to be background music, yet interesting enough to focus on. For the visually oriented, I would recommend trying to paint the images this music evokes. Worthy of being bought.
