I installed one of these for surveillance of our condo building. On paper the camera looks great. Interface with Synology, FTP, etc. In practice, the software is so buggy or awkward that using it is a hassle.

For example - the camera can record to a NAS. Great, right? Not so far. When it records over the network there is so much frame loss that some videos become unusable. I set it up to record on SD card and then FTP the files over to my Synology box. That more or less works but it breaks down for unknown reasons every few weeks with SD card being corrupted. In general random things in camera stop working enough times that I make it a habit to check this camera once a week just to make sure all my settings are correct. This is hardly hassle free experience I was expecting.

I now have 6 of these.

They are extremely easy to set up. The basic setup utility is a little crude but it works well - it allows you to identify the cameras quickly and set (if required) their IP addresses. (You can stick with the DHCP assigned IP addresses but I prefer to use fixed addresses for things like security cameras.) This part of the setup requires a Ethernet connection and is most easily done before mounting the camera.

You then use the camera's built in web browser to setup the wireless connection (if required) and reset the password etc. The cameras is powered by either PoE or a separate 12V supply and they work well in either mode. I use Netgear switches with integrated PoE for those cameras that are hard-wired to the network. Wireless also works well and the range seems good.

I interfaced the cameras to BlueIris monitoring software and this was very straightforward.

Night viewing is OK, not great but most security cameras promise far more here than they can deliver.

After trying a number of other cameras, these were the best.

Great camera, but the fact that it doesn't even work with their cloud service is ridiculous!

It's too expensive for a POE.
Nicely built but costly.
