Wonderful alternative/adult alternative CD, April 10, 2008

If you like the alternative/adult alternative genre, then you will love this album. Many of these songs are versions you can't hear anywhere else.
Volume 1 is wonderful. It's easy to see why they became so popular. Among my favorites are track 5: Sheryl Crow - Strong Enough; 7. The Verve Pipe - The Freshman; 13. Tori Amos - Landslide (the most amazing version of this song I've ever heard.); 15. Jewel - Who Will Save Your Soul; 17. Indigo Girls - Galileo.
One of my friends gave me a copy of Volume 5 right after the studio released it. It had the best mix of live and acoustical alternative genre songs that I'd ever heard. So good, in fact, that I went to ebay and promptly bought all the Y100 volumes then released. All of my friends that have ever heard these CDs have loved them and most went straight out to buy them.

Best mix of live music, June 25, 2005

When I bought this album so long back it was on a whim... so glad I did. I was very sad when the volume 2 was sold out before I could get a copy. Indigo Girls are awsome, and most of the other songs on this album are 10 times better than the actual released songs. It is an album I would never part with.
