At midnight on New Years Eve, 1999, computers will attempt to advance to the date of January 1, 2000. Many will fail and crash or cause software to revert to some twentieth century date such as January 1, 1900. Critical financial and other records may be lost or corrupted. Also computers operate critical services such as electrical power, water purification, sewer plant operations, gas lines, and many governmental functions, etc. Be prepared! Use the Y2K Guide and Checklists to help you minimize the impact of the Y2K bug.
