The cookie jar itself is quite large and quite heavy, but definately made of the best quality! It measures approx. 11" tall (from bottom to top of lid) and 9" wide (at widest point). The lid has the leaves and stem that should be used as the handle. The cookie jar is made of ceramic with a fine gloss finish coating each piece.
