The YSI 3059 standard flow cell allows sample collection and monitoring for surface and groundwater applications, such as in an aquifer or well, when used with the YSI 556MPS, 600XL, or 600XLM portable multiparameter meter, and single- or dual-parameter cables. The flow cell allows the probe to collect flow-through water samples for surface-water and ground-water monitoring. The unit can be mounted on a tripod, or pushed into the ground using the spike on the bottom of flow cell. For increased stability, it can be attached to a plate by using the brass insert and screwing it into the base. It can be easily disassembled for complete cleaning. The flow cell has two 1/4-inch and two 3/8-inch tube fittings (tubing and pump not included) as part of a set-up for flow-through water sample collection.
