After reviewing dozens of other esoteric Maya MEL scripting books and websites, I decided to write my own. This manual provides a clear explanation of the basics of computer programming, and it concisely lays out the main components of animation, rendering, and design with MEL syntax (for the veteran programmer). Readers will not need to be Maya proficient to pick up this book and start scripting.
