4.0 out of 5 stars VERY overpriced, but most tasted great
My personal favorites out of this package were the banana bread, the macadamia pineapple, and the Danish cream cheese. The only one that came somewhat dry out of the can was the cranberry orange. I think it would have been great had it been moist. The chocolate chip wasn't my favorite because I don't like chocolate chips in bread or pound cake, but I suspect others would...

1.0 out of 5 stars YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED
Boy....I sure was excited when I saw this product. It was even marked down...on sale!!!! The advertisement was fabulous, moist, delicious cakes, baked in tins. YUMMY!
Well...THESE ARE AWFUL!!!!! They are VERY small. Barely enough for one person...they do NOT feed multiple people. They are hard, dry, crumbling little cakes. The taste is so bad that you cannot eat...

My personal favorites out of this package were the banana bread, the macadamia pineapple, and the Danish cream cheese. The only one that came somewhat dry out of the can was the cranberry orange. I think it would have been great had it been moist. The chocolate chip wasn't my favorite because I don't like chocolate chips in bread or pound cake, but I suspect others would love this one, too. The southern pecan was also wonderful, just not one of my personal favorites.

The big problem with this item is its price. I could not believe how small these "pound cakes" were. They are approximately 4 inches long and 2.25 inches in diameter (can is bigger, of course). Though they are solid, they are by no means, in my opinion, worth over $3 each, which is what they basically cost at this price on Amazon.

I would say buy to try, but don't expect to want to pay this much all the time. They're sort of a delicacy, I guess, meaning they're good but the price is too high for everyday purchasing.

The taste is so bad that you cannot eat them. They have a weird chemical taste. Did I mention that they were dry as a bone? I was so appalled by this product, I called the company to complain...they handed me off to three people, none of which helped me and then finally told me someone would call me back....THEY NEVER DID!!! So basically the product is horrible and the customer service is ZERO. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT....YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding!, November 13, 2011

I tried the sampler 6 pack of these delightful baked-in-the-can cakes and was astounded at the quality. My favorite ended up being the cream cheese variety, and I've since ordered a 6 pack of that variety alone.

The product is baked in the can, and comes out of the can (which must be opened with an old fashion can opener, no pull tabs) wrapped in the baking paper. Each cake was super moist, and very dense. Even though I could easily eat the whole thing, I found that when sharing, the whole thing would yield 3-4 decent sized slices, and with coffee or milk was more than satisfying.

Although the product is expensive, I found that the quality and novelty were worth the price. I would recommend this unusual treat to anyone, and imagine these cakes would be a wonderful addition to a picnic or camp meal.
