5.0 out of 5 stars Very Southern and traditional, November 28, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Ya-Hoo! Baking Co Cinnamon Streusel Butternut Coffee Cake, 48-Ounce Box (Grocery)
You want to know the difference between the North and South when it comes to baking? This butternut coffeecake will tell you all you want to know when it comes to Southern style of baking with one bite. It's very ordinary, very rich and tasty, made with their own handmade yellow cake, a rich blend of brown sugar and cinnamon and instead of walnuts they use pecans, which is a Southern signature of coffeecake. But this company called Ya-Hoo! baking company is one of the Cotton Belt's best baking companies that still does things the old-fashion way. They are out of a small town called Sherman,Texas, south of Ada, Oklahoma and east of Dallas. And it wouldn't surprise me that they still get in baking wars from bakers out of Alabama, the other end of the Cotton Belt. Very, very good.
