Pretty good album, April 3, 2006
This review is from: Ya Salam (Audio CD)
I recently bought this CD, and I love it already. I had to go to Amazon.com to tell everyone about it:
1.)Akhasmak Ah(We might quarrel):Catchy song with a good dance beat. She used the song to realease the album and I can see why. After hearing it, I easily considered it the best song from the CD. It's one of those "can't get out of your head" songs.
2.)Nasseto Garh(I made him forget his wounds): I got tired of this song quickly due to the fact that it starts off with this annoying beat and the song doesn't kick in untill half the time. She uses a baby voice to sing it and the music is louder than her voice.
3.)Yay(The charm in his eyes): It's very catchy and she sings the song in a heartfelt way. The beat is also very lively. It's the best after Akhasmak Ah.
4.)Inta W Bas(You are the only one I loved):Why was this song even on the album?? No catchy lyrics, slow beat, and the song went nowhere. It was almost boring to listen to it.
5.)Ya Salam)How wonderful):This is probably the "slow song" of the album. It's also one of my favorites from the CD. This may be the one song on the album where she actually "stretches" her vocals.
6.)Ahla Jaw(A wonderful atmosphere): Definetley NOT one of the best. It was propbably just recoreded to lengthen the album. She seemed to be trying to make another Akhasmak Ah, but it didn't work out. It was just tacky and corny.
7.)Eynan Tara(When eyes can see): Not bad. She sings in this song rather than tunefully talking like for the rest, and it's got a pretty good dance beat. It's up there with the best songs.
8.)Inta(You):The "dance club" song of CD. It has a good drum beat and the lyrics aren't bad. Recommended for dancing.
8.)Ashkarballi(Nonsense): It starts off like a really old song that I would never listen to, and sorry to say, it doesn't change from there. The entire song was a flop that started off with a beat from the 80's. The song is just what it means: nonsense!
All in all, it was a good album. Very energetic and happy. Best arab pop album out there despite a few dislikeable songs.
