Yahoo! Income by Dana E. Blozis and Sharon L. Cohen at first reads like an advertisement for Yahoo! Merchant Solutions. The book repeats the glories of Yahoo! like an infomercial during the first few pages, which can be a turn-off and may make readers stop reading right there. I almost did, but I decided to give the book a chance. I'm glad I did.
If you continue reading past the introductory area, you find that the book is much more than nice words about Yahoo!. Deeper in the book, the authors give readers handy, realistic information about building a business using Yahoo! services.
The profiles of real business that use Yahoo! successfully is a thoughtful touch that makes the book even more useful. I like being able to see how business owners used Yahoo to build their own business so that I can take the tips and use them myself. There's nothing better than tried and proven results.
If you are looking to set up a web business through Yahoo! this is a good manual for getting your business off the ground.

This book is an informative guide on how to use Yahoo's Web site platform to build a profitable online business. In addition to an overview of the tools and services that Yahoo offers, the authors go through the steps of designing, marketing and running a Yahoo store. Once you have completed the book, you will understand how to design and put up your online store front. There are illustrations, examples, and good clear prose to show you everything you need to know about advertising online, site management and operating your online store.
This book is simply a powerhouse of suggestions including how to be recognized by search engines or search engine optimization, which involves understanding which key words shoppers might recognize. The book's wonderful case studies connect you to live people and actual Yahoo store Web sites which illustrate the success that others have obtained and of course by extension the success that you might obtain if you are willing to put in the time and open an online store.
The authors have also included a history of Yahoo's founding and important resources such as U.S. small business administration sites or small business development centers located around the country. The writer's enthusiastic style encourages those interested in e-commerce to venture into the world of online stores if they have not done so already. I give the book five stars.

Yahoo Income: How anyone of any age, location and / or background can build a highly profitable online business with Yahoo, is probably one of the most detailed titles of a book I have ever read in my life. However, it is also one of the most detailed business books I have ever read in my life, as well. If you are looking into opening up your own business online, or even just curious about how it works, this would be a great book and opportunity for you. Though I'm intrigued in opening up my very own website, I didn't think that I would be very interested in a book of opening up my own business.

The book starts off telling you the history behind Yahoo, and how so much has changed within the years that it has been running on the internet. And if you're completely new to doing anything online, then this book would be perfect for it goes into great details and step-by-step on how to start off. It's surprisingly not as complicated as some may think, and can make you quite a bit of money. Within the first few chapters, you'll get to know Yahoo and what it's like opening up a small business better then you know your best friend.

On each chapter it also goes into descriptions of term names and meanings when owning a business, so you'll know what even the smallest thing on your website will mean. And if you get lost or confused, Yahoo is one of the biggest domains out there, so you can get in contact with a service member quickly and solve the problem. I would rate this book 5 out of 5 stars because it has everything that you need to know about owning a small business with Yahoo.
