Ykovlev's Tactical Twin jets by Aerofax, August 9, 2005
This review is from: Yakovlev Yak -25/26/27/28 (Aerofax) (Paperback)
As always the series of books by Aerofax on Russian Aircraft gives us a very detail study of Russian Aircraft that are really hard to come by.
I strongly recommend this book to all aviation historians and modeleres alike. It is a great tool to have when talking about one of Russias twinjets that were produced in so many variants.

A Thorough and Satisfying Work, March 1, 2007
This review is from: Yakovlev Yak -25/26/27/28 (Aerofax) (Paperback)
This is probably the only in-depth treatment we will ever see of this remarkable family of cold-war jets. Fortunately, Yefim Gordon gives a thorough and masterful presentation that leaves little, if anything, lacking. Aviation history buffs and modelers alike will find a wealth of useful and intersting information. No where else will one find so many photos of this family of Interceptors, Bombers, Recon, and ECM aircraft. The text goes into extraordinary detail without being dry or tedious. In addition to technical information, there are numerous fascinating and even humorous anecdotes from the political, developmental, and operational history.
There are B&W photos throughout and appendices with color photos, schematic (3+ view) drawings of the variants, and color drawings at the end.
This book is well worth the price. Books about relatively obscure (to the west) aircraft such as this seldom come along, and even more rarely of such quality. I also suspect it won't stay in print for a very long time; books with sucha specialized subject matter seldom do. Get it while you can.
