A gynaecologist explains how to make the best choices for female reproductive health in this easy-to-read guide. It is designed for every woman who has wished for an unhurried, personal conversation with a sympathetic doctor who will answer her questions about reproductive health. Dr. Mary Jane Minkin, a gynaecologist practising for more than 25 years, presents a complete and up-to-date guide to a healthy reproductive system for women in their teens through middle age. The volume responds to questions about the gynaecological issues that concern women today, including sexual activity, contraception and family planning. It covers how the female body works, what problems may arise and what solutions are available; in short, it seeks to enable women to become better prepared to participate in their own health care and to make healthy decisions.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Must For Women, August 24, 2009

This review is from: The Yale Guide to Women's Reproductive Health: From Menarche to Menopause (Hardcover)
This is a great book. A must for women. The author goes into great detail about how the woman's body functions, diseases women encounter, threats and how to take care of them. She gives advice (note), because every women is different, on what we should be looking for and the care we should be recieving for our bodies (when we go to see our doctors). Her explanations are gentle, in leymans temrs and with definitions of the medical jargon she presents. She eases the reader into understanding the womans body without being shy nor forceful. She just explains. If you are a woman and you can get a copy of this book, it is a must have.
