Yamaha CRW3200UXZ, May 26, 2002
This review is from: Yamaha CRW3200UxZ 24x10x40 External USB 2.0 CD-RW Drive (Personal Computers)
This is a great drive with a huge buffer 8 MB, which means you will never suffer from buffer underburn with unusable CD. It is so reliable. I have purchased this one only to replace my old reliable 4x Yamaha External SCSI writer that I have had for over 3 years. It was still working but too slow. This drive works perfect for me. Only caveat, you need to make sure your USB port is USB2.0. Otherwise, you will only get 4x write speed with older USB1.x.

Great Selection for those new to CD-RW, September 9, 2002
This review is from: Yamaha CRW3200UxZ 24x10x40 External USB 2.0 CD-RW Drive (Personal Computers)
The tool kit of software provided with the drive as well as the simple but fairly complete getting started guide make this a great choice for people just getting into creating their own audio CDs. It worked right out of the box for me with a Windows XP Home edition system and USB 1.1 ports. I am looking at getting a USB 2.0 PCS card and a hub to provide for all the devices that seem to be springing up on my computer. Installation was easy. The software went in without a problem. From opening the box to having the first disc complete was less then three hours (and that included a lunch break)!

Yahama CD RW, May 20, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Yamaha CRW3200UxZ 24x10x40 External USB 2.0 CD-RW Drive (Personal Computers)
This unit is very noisy. For the price of the unit, one would think they could have paid a little more attention to user comfort. The performance is not what I thought it should be. having a 20x4x4x in my laptop which is almost as fast as the Yahama. I would advise to shop around before purchasing this one.
