My son Andrew, who formerly took drum lessons and still loves to tap on any and everything, was so overjoyed with this digital drum set! The many sounds that can be assigned to a pad kept him interested and motivated! I am so glad that I made this purchase, as a few people had said it's not the same as drums. While that may be true, it still provides anyone interested in drumming the opportunity to be creative and enhance their drumming skills!

We purchased this for our 13 yr old grandson who is a budding musician tapping on everything all day long, but when it arrived I was discouraged seeing it. I was concerned it was too small and would miss the mark on sound. We ordered a refurbished unit listed "like new", and it certainly was. The box was beat up and used looking, but the unit was perfectly new.This electronic drum ended up being a big hit with him (and his younger brother) - he played it for hours the first day and when asked, said it was perfect. We even had to send him to the garage to play into the night to save guests and neighbors from the volume. I recommend this for those who love electronics and percussion, but not expecting a replacement for a "real" drum set, of course.
