Product Description

The MSR800W is a self-powered subwoofer system that easily integrates into any existing PA system, adding all important punch and feel while allowing the full range cabinets to perform more efficiently. It has a built-in stereo crossover with a sweepable (from 80- 100Hz) cutoff frequency for output to the existing system. With a 15” long throw woofer and 500 watts RMS of built-in power, (800 watts peak) the MSR800W can generate SPL (Sound Pressure Level) in excess of 120 dB

Bought this sub used, as expected, after a few uses it blew up. Repair costs were about $150.
The unit now works fine, but it is not the bass I was looking for. It has a very deep bass but it is not punchy or tight, this I don't think has to do with the product quality since it is a "subwoofer" and I was more-less looking for a woofer. So, for music in the 120-130bpm ranges in genres as House, Dance, and Pop, it is not going to give you that definition of strong quick bass. It does rumble with the deep drawn out bass lines of other types of music.

Even though Yamaha has a better reputation than Behringer, if I can sell my unit, I'll probably end up getting the Behringer's woofer.

I am a mobile DJ and this unit I only take for the big jobs (over 300 guests)

Bought this sub new, after a little over a year it just stopped working all of the sudden. Came to find out a fuse was blown and parts in the amp were bad. Ended up costing me over $200 to get fixed. It was a really good sub before that. Has a very clean sound and looks good.
