Easy theater upgrade!!! Easy installation, and sound great. I was amazed at the clarity and performance of these speakers. Very good deal. Bestbuy was double the price!

Okay, let me preface this with a little personal fact. I am a 40ish female with some DIY skills.
This was an easy install and it took me more time deciding where i wanted to place them ithan nstalling them. Now when I mean installing them I talking about cutting the hole and placement. Feeding the wires through my ceiling joists took alittle more time because I had to go into the attic crawl space.
The quality of the speakers are superb and I'm very happy with the sound which is fantastic. I can't believe how great they look and sound and I would get the same kind when I do my upstairs.

These are great for rear surround speakers. I painted the grills using a Preval Paint Sprayer you can get at the hardware store for about $7. Worked great and blends into the ceiling very well. Sound is great!

The Yamaha NS-IW280CWH 6.5" speakers are priced just right for the homeowner looking to expand or start a new built-in system. They fit nicely between my 2x8 ceiling joist depth and the floor above. Yamaha also threw in good advice for the novice, especially mentioning about surrounding the speakers area with insulation (not touching the speaker though) to get the most sound definition out of the speakers. The speakers install easily with simple instructions and they are well designed. I talking both physically and aesthetically pleasing to the eye. The sound quality and clarity hit the famous Yamaha high note right on the money. Highly recommend these babies to all!!

I have had these installed for right at a year now and love them.. I installed them as rear surround speakers that they are really meant to be. in ceiling speakers as front speakers never seem to work right. They have all the highs and mids you could want. They are not meant to be used for bass that is why all higher end systems run sub woofers so if you want to crank out bass not these or any other in ceiling speaker will ever make you happy. I installed the yamaha in wall speakers on the wall with my tv and between the 2 front speakers and the center channel they get plenty loud and are just as clear as can be. I'm pushing them with a yamaha receiver that I have had for almost 10 years and they still will crank it out. I still haven't bought the yamaha sub but it is on my wish list. I'm running an old jbl 10" sub that does a great job but I think the yamaha will smoke it when I get around to buying it. I installed all 5 speakers in the walls and ceiling in about 2 hours and couldn't have asked for an easier install. running the wire was the worst part the actual cutting and mounting took less than an hour for all 5.

I bought my first set from our local Best Buy. Needed 2 more sets for a basement makeover, but they weren't available locally. Looked online and found this same great product a whole lot cheaper! My contractor highly recommends them. Thanks Amazon!!!

These Yamaha In-Wall speakers offer a ton of features and sound great. Based on Price, Quality, Features, and Ease of Install, you get the most bang for your buck with these speakers. They are designed to direct the sound towards the listening area which is a great feature. They offer multiple wire connection options, and are simple to install. They sound great with my entertainment system, and look great in the wall. They can be painted to match your wall color, which is another nice feature. I looked at and reviewed low, mid and high end speakers when looking to upgrade, these Yamaha speakers give you high end features, options, and sound quality for a very reasonable price. From what I found, they are the best deal out there!

i ordered these speaker and couldnt wait till i received them which was about a week later checked ups site i knew they had arrived in las vegas and would be delivered to me that day the door bell rang ups left speakers at my front door .very easy to install took about 1 1/2 hours to install 4 speakers .sound is very nice natural sound that only yamaha produces not over powering and loud i like yamaha audio products.my only compliant is the glue strips that hold the grill in place are black in color makes the grill look a little messy around the edges.i will order 2 more speakers later so i can install 7.1 surround.i recommend this product price was a bargin.

Tinny sound, too bright and no bass at all. May be ok for the rear speakers for surround sound system. I returned the Yamaha and bought "SpeakerCraft" speakers instead,they are much more expensive but what a rich, clear and full sound it produce is amazing.

I bought this speakers and installed them myself. Easy installation and the sounds is good, depends on distance between each speaker and environmental acoustic resonance.
