This review is from: Yamaha RX-V750 7.1 Channel Home Theater Receiver (Electronics)
The Yamaha receiver does all it is suppose to. I recommend a HDMI connection or port be added for a future improvement if possible. I am more than satisfied with this producted purchased about 1 year ago.

Wow what a difference when I hooked this up - it was like I purchased a completely different set of speakers. The optimizer mic worked like a charm. This thing has soooo many inputs - 4 optical, 2 digital, 2 Component and many more. Integrated very nicely with my Harmony remote. One downside was this receiver does not have any HDMI inputs but that was not an issue for me since I used the HDMI inputs on my TV. Since I was using the Harmony remote I did not have to worry about the complication of switching inputs on TV and receiver since the Harmony does this with the touch of one button. One useful tip I can offer is if your TV has an optical out then I would suggest connecting it to your receiver's optical input. This will reduce the mess and cost of additional wires going from your components directly to your receiver. Sound clarity is amazing. This has so many cinema modes that even my older home videos sound amazing on this thing. I absolutely love it!!! Pros: Sound Clarity Lots of power More inputs than you'll ever need Bang for your buck Cons: -No HDMI (but not a problem since I used TV inputs) |
