After playing for 41 years and teaching band for 33 I've tried countless mouthpieces. This ranks with the best for range - high and low - and ease of playing. Not a "trick" mouthpiece, this is actually a really responsive mouthpiece in lots of ways. Nice projection, will cut through a large group - probably not for you if you're looking for a darker, orchestra sound. Rim is slightly wider than some but doesn't impede playing at all; just easier on the lips and gives a little more playing time. Try it - at this price it's worth giving it a shot. I suspect you won't be disappointed.

I bought this for my son who plays trumpet in high school. He raves about it that it's given him greater range, brighter tone and less fatigue playing. In all it's a great mouthpiece he'd recommend to anyone.
