If you want HD audio and own a blu-ray player that decodes the HD audio codec's (ps3 does) this is the best home theater in a box system you can get. The speakers are a beautiful gloss black that really impressed me with the quality and connectors. This system comes with the Yamaha 6140 receiver that does accept PCM (HD audio) via HDMI. This is not a pass through system it accepts audio via HDMI unlike most home theater in a box systems. The only thing that could have made this a perfect set up would have been if it came with a larger sub but for the size of this one it does sound good but if your going for huge rumble you may want to upgrade the sub but other than that is a very nice set up. Btw you can usually find this for $650(shipped) or under if you look around.

This product is everything that it claims and more. I bought it for the use with my High Def TV and BLuRay player and it adds a great dynamic to my movie experience.

This stereo sounds absolutely amazing when listening to a CD, watching a DVD, or watching Cable. This thing gets so loud while still maintaining a clear sound. It wasn't too hard to hook up, but did take an hour or two. Most could probably assemble this faster because I don't know too much about audio equipment. All I know is that I love the way this product sounds and am extremely satisfied with it.

I personally think it was worth every cent. If you are looking for something that is going to produce high quality sound, this is a great item for you. It does not include a DVD player, which I was glad to see because that means you are not paying for anything but the audio.

I hope this review helped some people. I wish I had more knowledge of audio equipment so I could provide better information. If this seems like it is what you are looking for, it probably is. I can't see this stereo disappointing too many individuals.

i received the box when opened, we didn't find the front speakers included.
i called customer service, we got another box shipped second day.
i am so satisfied by the excellence of Amazon's service.

about the product now, 4 stars, not bad for the money, i had sony home theater before, and honestly it sound better !!!! at least for my ears.

but this set is good enough.
