4.0 out of 5 stars Great Speakers, You can't go Wrong., September 1, 2004

This review is from: Yamaha YSTM8W Multimedia Speaker 10 Watt Total (Personal Computers)
I am an Aiwa fan myself but their selection keeps getting thinner. I found these at Best Buy a few years ago and me and my father (who was the one looking for some portable speakers) decided on these. These sound great. With the tone control, you have excelent control of the sound. And if you have them hooked up to something with an equilizer (like my laptop) you have virtualy endless ways to make the sound the way YOU want to hear it. One good and bad thing is the way the speakers hook up. They have two inputs, speaker output, power input, and headphone jack on the front. This is great in that these can be used on any device, but they do have a lot of cords to keep up with. These speakers aren't the lightest or the smallest, but I have no problem moving them around; and the sound quality more than makes up for it. These sound better than most home theatre speakers. And these are much smaller.

So if you are looking for some portable speakers, and you don't mind the loose cords too much, and you happen to run accross these; you won't go wrong getting them.
