I purchased these portable chop-sticks a while ago and after having used them on several occasions now, I must say they are great. The red case makes for an elegant way to carry them around in either your coat pocket or in a purse or in a shirt pocket.

I've seen some reviews where they complain that, once assembled, the sticks are crooked, but to me that's not a big deal. Put together they feel just as sturdy and function exactly the same as the solid (one-piece) chop-sticks I have at home. Very nice product, not too expensive, yet very handy. Most handy when the breakroom at work is out of plastic forks, I just get these out from my pocket and begin to eat, while the rest just waste time looking for a fork. Haha, sorry to be them.

I did not realize the chopsticks were in 2 pieces and needed to be screwed together. They do screw together nicely though. They seem to be nicely made and heavy duty. They fit too tightly into the metal container they come in and you have to put them in an exact way or they won't fit. I do think they are a very good product for the cheap price I paid.

With free Amazon Prime shipping, these were the best-valued portable chopsticks around. I was going to use them as holiday stocking stuffers, but ended up keeping one pair for myself instead! The quality of these were great, and I -know- my portable chopsticks (I've bought various ones before this purchase). The red case also gives a classy touch. Highly recommended for the chopstick lover and for the gift-seeker!

These chopsticks are the most awesome thing around. Perfect for putting in your coat pocket, your purse, your desk drawer- you can stash them anywhere!! Small and compact they assemble to full sized chopsticks. There are so many great things to say about them but one thing I especially liked was that the ends were "scored" so you can pick up items more easily. They are also very lightweight and extremely sturdy. They assemble very easily as you screw both ends together creating the full sized chopstick. They are very easy to clean and you can even throw them in the dishwasher. They come in a variety of case colors but I liked the red because it stands out and I'm less likely to leave them when use them eating out. You can never have enough of these- they are AWESOME!!

I ordered this set with red color case but the item I received is in silver!
Also, it says the price is $11.99 but when I received the invoice, it became $13.96!!!

The quality is good so I think I will just keep it but I am really not happy for being cheated.

I BOUGHT THESE CHOP STICKS AND I WAS VERY UNHAPPY WITH THEM.THE SUSHI SLID OFF VERY HARD TO GRAB.I HAD TO REVERT BACK TO THE WOODEN ONES.I THINK A RUBBER GRIP AT THE TIP WOULD WORK.I DO NOT RECOMMEND THESE CHOPS STICKS AT ALL.SORRY MAYBE SUSI WAS MEANT TO BE EATEN WITH WOODEN CHOP STICKS. SORRY YAMAZAKI BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD.

The pieces do fit into the case snugly, but that's not a big deal, imo. At least you don't have to listen to them rattling in the case and worry about any damage to the sticks.

It's typically harder to grasp food with metal chopsticks than wooden ones, but if you are used to metal chopsticks that won't be an issue.

The case is smaller than I imagined which is a bonus because I can carry it in my purse easily.

Also the sticks have a sturdy feel to them, which is great when I pick up heavy foods like boiled egg halves.

These are pretty good for the price. They're a lot nicer then what I was expecting. They work great as I had no problems picking up food items regardless of size or texture.I was able to eat rice with ease and was able to pick up kimchi with ease as well. You can take these anyhere. I don't know if the ridges on the bottom of the chopsticks actually help with the picking up of the food, I don't think so. This would be a 5 star review but a couple of things kept it from getting 5 stars. First, my main complaint, the chopsticks are actually shorter in length then regular chopsticks. These are a 1 1/2 inches shorter then normal chopsticks so if you planned on using it to cook with, my main reason for buying them, then they may not work as well. I don't know as I have yet to cook with them. All I know is wooden chopsticks burn and plastic ones melt. Second, they are slightly too light for my taste. My third one is not really a complaint but more of a preference. I like my chopsticks to have squared handles and these are rounded. No biggie though. I just find the squared shaped ones are easier to use. However, I have yet to find a squared handle metal chopsticks. These aren't bad and are actually quite nice. If you want to be able to take your chopsticks with you and don't mind the length then these are good.

Very nice, compact, handy, practical and charming little foldable chopsticks! Great for traveling or office use. Will get more for friends.

Chopsticks screw together smoothly. Once joined it works as a solid piece of steel. Good length; not too long, not too short. The red case is nicely made and flashy enough to make a statement as a gift. Excellent price too at 4/$13-. Always wanted one to eat at the 'hole in the wall' places where chopsticks may be suspect! Environmentally correct too, as it saves lots of trees from being turned into disposable chopsticks.
