Looking for a CD to introduce your kid to American patriotic music? This CD is ideal for that purpose.

Contained on this disc are nine standards of the genera and one medley of the Armed Forces hymns. Recorded mostly by a kid’s choir, the songs are short and fun. I found myself getting into "When Johnny Comes Marching Home" and trying to learn the verses I didn't know of "Yankee Doodle." I found the inclusion of Mickey, Donald, and Goofy a little distracting on the two tracks they're on, but that's the only real criticism I have.

Kids will love learning patriotic songs from this CD, and parents will find themselves enjoying the songs as well.

As a child I remember sitting on the living room floor listening to this album over and over. I loved it. I recently downloaded the album for my daughter, only to discover that four of the best tracks have been removed, and others re-recorded. The LP from 1980 included "I'm a Yankee Doodle Dandy", "Liberty Tree", " This Land is Your Land", and "The Battle of New Orleans". It's baffling that these great songs have been dropped. If your kids aren't listening to the original LP version, they are missing out. What a disappointing experience from a trusted brand.

If you are an American father or mother and you wish that your child listen some of traditional and patriotic American songs, this CD is a good choice. Furthermore, you have the special touch of Mickey Mouse.
