Just Plain Fun,

This review is from: Yankee Doodle (Sing-Along Stories) (Hardcover)
We got this book for our 3yo while he was hospitalized and have taken turns singing it and it's just plain fun. The art is cute, the wording is easily singable and funny and the book as a whole is entertaining. We'll be reading this one a lot and looking for the others in the series!

Fun for Parents too,

Have had this book for a couple of years, it has still fun to read and the illustrations are very entertaining. I think we enjoy reading this more than any other books we own. I like this book better than Hoberman's Mary Had a Little Lamb or Eensy-Weensy Spider.

I enjoy these types of children's musical books. They begin with a familiar tune and song, which most children should recognize on the first few pages. As the pages turn, the song continues, but with new text - fun to sing with rhyming words and glorious pictures. My students love this book....the tune is well known and the story is so much fun. Be sure to purchase similar books, by same series (Mary Had a Little Lamb, Michael Finnegan, etc).
