a treat for yankee fans
for the players of my era the series reminded me of things I already knew but had forgotten about such as Bobby Mercer's miraculous game against the Baltimore Orioles after the death of Thurman Munson. For the players of a more distant time it gave me more insight. Such as the struggles of Elston Howard upon becoming a Yankee. In that he was not able to stay or dine with the team during spring training. There are if you small criticisms in that bonus footage is for a bit repetitive and features on active players such as Matsui may be premature. It was a delight and occupied many an hour |
