I run and participate in triathlons. These laces keep a constant tension on the shoe and I find them much more consistent than tying and retying traditional laces. I bought them for the whole family. The kids love them, in part, I think, because they are different. I recommend these to anyone for almost any type of shoe --- my daughter has them on high tops.

I really like these laces and have replaced all of my athletic shoes with them. They work great for racing and great for all the other days of the week too. Good product.

Yankz are strong elastic shoe laces that stay permanently cinched, so they make your lace-up shoes into pull-ons, and give the tiniest bit of comfortable flex while being worn. Once they are adjusted to your liking they will stay that way. I have had them on my low hikers for a couple of years and have walked many miles in comfort. I was sceptical before installing them, but my feet recommend them highly.

I tried to use these with my miniums trail shoes. They were hard to adjust and just didn't work all too well. They ended up being way too tight, making it hard to get the shoe on.

I suggest putting the shoes on when you lace them up so you can fit them better.

The hook thing at the bottom also comes undone a lot.

I purchased these after running distance in warmer temps. My feet were swelling and regular laces were not giving, restricting blood flow and becoming tighter.

The Yankz were a great solution as I would lace them to be just snug enough and as I ran a few miles, my feet would expand and the laces would give while maintaining the snug fit that was needed.

I ended up buying a pair for my second set of training shoes.

For the money, a good, pratical purchase.

I bought these to replace the speed laces that came with my cycling shoes. The manufacturer of said shoes was not responsive (I'm looking at you Adolf Dassler), so for the money, I figured I couldn't go wrong. Unfortunately, these are not that great for *my* particular application. For brevity's sake:

Here's what I like about them:

1. Very simple to install
2. Seem durable
3. The end piece actually locks down on the lace, so it doesn't flop around

Here's what I don't like:

1. They are too fat for the eyelets in my shoes (this may not be an issue for you)
2. The ends of the bungee material have to "tuck" under the end piece (I modified mine so this isn't necessary)
3. They are very "springy" at the tongue, making it feel as though the shoes could easily come off
4. The lock is very difficult to unlatch if the laces are pulled tightly

Again, I'm using these for a pretty specific application, so take my comments with a grain of salt!

This is a great idea, and I enjoy them. But if there were a little competition in this area, I think we'd end up with a better and less expensive product. I put these on, and it wasn't super easy, but I got it done, and they lasted about a year. That's not awful. But for the cost, it seems like they ought to last longer. But while they work, they do what you want....they get rid of the need for laces and make your favorite shoes "slip-ons" without having the loose feel of a slip-on shoe. That is the greates part of this product. Your shoes with these on feel exactly the same as they feel with regular laces. That was my biggest worry, and if it is your worry, buy with confidence. But don't be too surprised if they just don't hold up as long as your shoes.

I purchased a pair of these for my 11-year-old son's indoor soccer shoes, whose laces were slippery and kept coming untied. They were reasonably easy to install if you follow the directions inside the box, though the laces are stiff and the trimmed ends kept poking out of the shoe and looked unsightly. Also, adjusting the tightness of the shoe wasn't easy-- if any adjustments had to be made, I had to do it for him. He used them for one season (14 weeks) before the bottom clip came undone and the plastic part flew off and got lost. I had to knot the ends to get him through the rest of a game. Seems like they should hold up better for the money.

A little complicated to set up but I put these on all my shoes now; much more convenient. Wish they would find a way to get rid of the plastic pieces tying it all together.

Worked great the first time I put them on, instructions are not the best but got them on the first try. They are great and I've had no problems with too tight or too loose laces ever since.

I put them on my low ankle boots and at first I thought I'd run out of lace but they were just right. I put them on exactly as per the instructions but I'm going to try them on differently with my next pair as I like the laces to be inserted over the holes instead of under them. And because they were ankle boots I didn't have any extra slack and didn't need to cut any extra off.

Once you have them on, you just pull on the top look to tighten and pull on the clip to loosen the loop when you want to take them off. When you take them off, just stretch the laces so that when you go to put them on the next time you can just slip your feet in.

I got them for my ankle boots because they're always a pain for me to lace up because I'm always running out the door. With these stretch laces, I just slip my fee into my boots, then I pull the top loop then I'm out the door. Just very convenient and great to use. I've got a couple more pairs of ankle boots and I'm going to get Yankz laces for all of them. Highly recommended.
