A Lifesaver,

This review is from: Yard Butler GKS-2 Garden Kneeler and Seat (Lawn & Patio)
If you're like me and your knees are starting to get a lot of mileage on them, they simply don't take bending like they did when you were 18.
But, you still have to do things from time to time that require bending down for a prolonged period of time- like fixing things and gardening. To that end, there is a solution- the Yard Butler GKS-2 Garden Kneeler and Seat. It's really two things in one. You can use it as a seat to sit on and do some things, but if you have to kneel and get closer down, well, just flip it around and kneel of the soft foam. Then, when its time to (try) and get up- the handles on either side let you use your arms to help boost you up- neat! Definitely consider buying this handy chair/kneeler not only for gardening, but to have around when you have to kneel and fix stuff too. Also recommend Treat Your Own Knee Arthritis for some good exercises to get your knees working better and out of pain.

I am 70 and love to garden. However, it has become increasingly difficult for me to get up from a kneeling position. This device has solved my problem. In addition, I can now avoid the red SC clay from permanently soiling my jeans. The Butler opens and closes easily and is portable.

Not Just for Gardening,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Yard Butler GKS-2 Garden Kneeler and Seat (Lawn & Patio)
I have used this as a kneeler to clean a floor and to clean out cabinets, as a seat to rest temporarily while reading incomprehensible instructions for another product. I have used it to kneel on while planting bulbs and to sit on while creating a container garden. To change from kneeler to seat just flip it over. It folds up for storage - not without some effort and possibly a bit of figuring out how it works depending on your experience with such things. It's portable. It's very sturdy. You can use the uprights to give yourself some leverage up if needed. The pads are nice on the knees and the seat. It's better than kneepads because it doesn't restrict your movement. The pads are 16" x 6.5" and the space between the uprights when set up is 22", providing plenty of space.
