It has been ddifficult for me to find something which can handle 100ft hose with ssome "real" portability. This cart does relatively well, considering its own size and weight. Winding hose back takes a bit of training,but good product overall.

While the idea of being able to transport your hose is nice, this hose reel is not a high quality item. We had ours for just a few weeks before it started to show rust marks. It leaks, and barely holds the advertised 100 feet of hose, even the inexpensive kind. It's light weight, which means you need to anchor it with one foot while bending down to crank.

Last summer, i bought one of these. Loved it for a week until it started leaking and spraying water. Returned it for another, which arrived and was leaking and spraying water from the get go, so I gave up. Had great balance and ease of wheeling around, but built like junk.

Upon receipt of the Yard Butler, it didn't look like its picture on Amazon. As I assembled it I noticed that one side of the reel didn't have a loop to slide on to the base, basically making it unattachable on the crank side. I contacted the company for return and they sent me a replacement reel which was completely the wrong part. I contacted them again and was refunded my purchase price.

This replaces a reel we had that would not accomodate our new 100' hose. This reel is far better than the plastic ones I've had in the past. The best part is how easily it turns. We do have a heavy duty 100' hose and the reel is really not quite big enough for it, but it would be for a regular 100' hose. Very pleased with this purchase.

Handle a little losse due to very small screw to hold in place, but works fine. Winding up the hose not as smooth as i would like, hits frame when winding hose. Over all much better than the plactic Sun cast brands that wont last very long if left out in the elements. This unit is slim and easy to move around. I give it 4 stars.
