5.0 out of 5 stars Why all the bad reviews? Confused.....
I am a big fan of all of the hidden mysteries and hidden picture games, and this game is just as comparable to the others! I have no idea why it has such poor reviews! All of the games of this kind are fairly the same, you get a list of things to find in a picture, and as you go through the levels you progress through a very simple story line. I anxiously awaited the arrival of this game & when I got it today I started right in. THE PREMISE ~~
You have moved to a new neighborhood & upon your arrival discover an upcoming most beautifully decorated house contest. Your house is sparsely furnished to say the least but thankfully all your weird neighbors are having YARD SALES !! THE GAME PLAY ~~
Now you are sent to various yard sales to find a list of objects as well as things that will enhance your furnishings. You want to win that contest !! You do a room at a time. THE PROBLEMS ~~ 1. I play on a DSXL and still have problems with some of the objects. Some of them look nothing like what they are asking you to find. For example what looks like a white crooked baster is a beaker. Some of them are too small. All of them are just sitting around so it isn't really hidden object play if that is what you are expecting ( as I was ). The biggest problem with the game is that after you find everything the game itself decorates the house . It magically whirls things around making other things while you wait stylus in hand THEN it puts them in a room !!!! Exciting ?? Not really. MY ADVICE ~~ Buy it used in a few months if you really want to play this ~ better yet pre-order iFind or some of the other Hidden Object game . This is a snooze for adults in my opinion.

This game is awful and definitely not worth the price. The graphics are terrible - there were times I found an item and didn't even know what it was I found! There is no challenge - played both the relaxed and the timed modes and finished both in about 2 hours. Wish I had saved my money!

This game is more appropriate for elementry age children. I completed the entire game in about an hour, did enjoy the challenge, but priced too high for what you get.

After the first handful of puzzles you will always start to repeat the same scenes, but finding different items. I have beat all of these games in one day, in a matter of hours, but they are still fun! This one is no exception, fun while it lasted and worth the buy. You can always put it on the shelf to play again later, you will not remember where you found the stuff after some time passes.

I was waiting for another Hidden Object game to come out and I was so happy to hear about this one. Then I received it. What a disappointment; there is no sense of accomplishment, the items are in plain sight, game is over way too quickly. For the price of this one, it's a total loser.

1.0 out of 5 stars Yard Sale Trash!, July 5, 2010

I would return this if I could! I played this on my DS XL and it took about an hour to play.

The price is wayyyyy too much. Save your money and get something else.

I thought that I would give it to my 77 year old mother, who has a DS XL too, but the graphics are blurry. If I have a hard time with it, so will she.

Just by moving the screen around there were times when objects would fly up as if they were "found," and I didn't even know what they were!

This company ought to be ashamed of themselves for putting out such a lousy product and for charging so much. I feel cheated/robbed! I wish there were some way I could return this and get my money back.

I wouldn't even considering reselling this piece of "yard sale trash." Why should I cheat someone else?

I usually read reviews before I buy a game, but I was so excited about this one that I ordered it ahead of time. Big Mistake that I will never make again.

The first time (and probably the last time) I ever pre ordered a game....Yard Sale Sunnyville was a major disappointment. I love hidden object games so I took a chance and pre ordered this one. The 'yard sales' were absolutely awful, the items to find ridiculous, no minigames, way too short, and instead of being able to 'decorate' with the items you find, the game does it for you. No replay value-like you'd even want to. I tried to list it on swaptree when I finished it. In the morning I had lots of games to trade for, in the afternoon it was down to twelve games and in the evening it was down to two. The users there must have been reading the reviews on here. I ended up trading it to someone who still wanted it on a different board. Don't waste your money on this one.

I'm a fan of the "find the hidden thingys" but this one doesn't quite make it. There are things to find, you have to go to the same places, the thinys aren't hard to find, and then the game puts all the pieces together for you and you don't get to 'solve' anything. I was able to watch a rather long story on the television while I played this - and I didn't miss anything from either the game or the T.V. program. There are other "find the hidden thingys" that are better. I don't think I will recommend this particular game to anybody.

4.0 out of 5 stars Personally, I LOVED THE GAME!, July 29, 2010

Yeah, the decorating of the rooms by the game sucked. They should have allowed us to do it or they should have allowed us to bypass it. But all in all, I found it to be terrifically relaxing and enjoyable. I also thought there was great replay ability. Once you have gone through the game once, try going through a second time and getting all the stars which give you extra hints, all the objects and bettering your time each time you play it. I have played this game over and over and over again and still find it relaxing, so does my wife. I like a game that makes me feel successful and it entertains me at the same time. Call me old fashioned but this game is great. I have managed to finally find all the stars and have finally managed to play all the levels in an hour and a half. Great game for the memory and I loved it...course, I'm also a great Ratchet and Clank fan too.....

5.0 out of 5 stars very different from on-line game, October 18, 2010

After I purchased this game for the DS, I found it and played on-line. I hated the game! I held my breathe until it arrived and I got the chance to play it. The version for the DS is SO much better. Not any where near as frustrating.
The top screen is an overview of the area that you are searching and the bottom screen is in zoom so you can find the objects. I played the whole game in relax mode and now I am trying in timed mode. There doesn't seem to be much difference that I can tell.
I don't think the game has much replay value. I will probably put it up for a while and in about a year see if I can still remember where the items are hidden.
