I do not usually review item's I buy on Amazon yet I am so pleased with the quality and detail of this product, I just had to rave. I have been collecting die cast models from the Franklin and the Danbury mint's for the past 20 years. I first purchased an inexpensive fire truck for my son. He loved and appreciated it so much, I became interested. I examined it and was quite impressed. I bought him 3 others. I than ordered the entire presidential series after I bought the model of Kennedy's blue Lincoln. The paint finish is unmatched. The detail and molding is hard to believe. No details were missed! Even small presidential seals adhered to the inside back doors. There is even carpeting on the floor boards and trunk! It is much better quality than the mint's for a 3rd of the price. Try it, you'll be hooked.

The Yat Ming Lincoln X-100 car from Amazon is very nice. It is a collectable that is put together well and has much detail put into into it. It's a car that is part of our history and is worthy of display. Yat Ming also makes an updated version of the Kennedy limousine: known as "The Quick Fix". President Johnson had Kennedys limousine refitted with more armor, power and a hard top roof. The updated version of the X-100 was painted black, replacing Kennedy's midnight blue colors. I was very satisfied with the Kennedy limousine from Amazon.

A couple years back I purchased this and the Minichamps/Paul's Model Art version of the Lincoln X-100 parade vehicle as used by the Kennedy administration. The Minichamps version is in 1:43 scale and comes with figurines representing the occupants on the Dallas trip and is more accurate looking. The Yatming version is much larger at 1:24 scale and somewhat more durably constructed.

The level of detail is fairly good - doors hood and trunk open, steering wheel turns the front wheel, jumps seats fold away. You can even make out a bit of the spare tire when you lift the trunk .

For no good reason, the pillar windows - the ones between the passenger and driver - are noticably oversized. There are also a set of searchlights attached to the windscreen that may have been part of the X-100's equipment package but were not present on the Dallas trip. The included parade flags don't look very good as well.

If you want spot-on accuaracy look for the Minichamps version. Otherwise this is a nice model to add to your collection of JFK - or presidential - memorabillia.

If you're the twisted type... the Yatming X-100 model is ideally sized for Lego figures if you want to stage your own Dallas trip reenactment.

I was ten years old and in the sixth grade when President Kennedy was murdered. I remeber watching the black and white video of the shooting with my parents, William and Mary. I thought this die cast model would be a relevent addition to my model auto collection.

I as very surprised at the quality of this scale model car.
I children are facinated by it as well. That was the reason
for the purchase-Its historical value.
It was after all, a crime scene.
The detail is fantastic right down to the carpeted trunk.
I am more than pleased with this purchase.

If you ever buy just one item EVER, this SHOULD BE IT! I've purchased hundreds of things on this site and this was by FAR, the most
important. Everyonewho was alive at the time makes a comment & you see a special look in their eyes (NO MATTER WHAT PARTY THEY BELONG).
Those who were not alive at his time of death, realize this is one of the most famous pieces of history you can own. They always say
how it is a very neat item to have in your home as a conversation piece. (Whether they hate or love politics) they see it as more, above
all that and reconize it's one item that CHANGED THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD. That is what makes it 2 things. #1. Priceless, #2. MUST HAVE.
